i really cannot understand what happened today but here is the breakdown. was on my way to send the additional documents that were requested during MR when i got an email from AVO that i should send my passport along with 2 passport photos and IMM8 within 15 days. my first reaction was 'HA! SCAM!!!'. then i looked at the sender address and read the content again...i kept asking reminding myself, i did the medicals less than 2 weeks ago. i haven't even sent the requested documents. How come?
I went back home to get the requested items, printed a copy of the email as requested by the visa officer. sent both to AVO in separate envelopes accompanied with cover letters.
I still cannot come to terms with the whole thing. this isn't the way i thought they did their work.

An indication that what they have asked for is for filing only and may not count in the process leading to PRV issuance. Some times Accra just want to have something for their records and future sake.

What I mean is Immigration may not be able to verify all your document but they must have an answer for every question that pops up during evaluation hence they send out such request. These serves as evidence for your records. But who knows they may just still be going ahead with checks..

I agree with you especially if no proof of fund update is requested or other documents apart from filling out and updating their own forms.
