Please which of the hospitals in Lagos should I use? Do they take clients on walk-in basis or will I have to schedule an appointment before they see me?

E be like say the FBI Clearance go spoil show for man pikin sha o. I don begin dry fast o.

Is it advisable to do medicals before having all the required documents.I am in a similar same situation as I have to get PCC from Germany and I am thinking I should wait for the PCC and send all the required documents around the same time the medicals will be done.

It's not advisable that I know. Not sure if it's illegal or not. But if u were in naija you'd still post it out of your country to Ghana na....... That really don't make sense sha.
I think you should go ahead and post it. Cos how else do they expect us to send the passport be it from naija or London?

It is illegal for some countries like india etc but it is not illegal for Nigerian passport. It depends on the law of each country.

Please for our MR recipients in PH that also received request to update PCC, please do u guys have the contact details of the man at State CID in charge of the PCC?

It's better you wait because the validity of your visa is tied to you're medical expiration date or passport expiration date, whichever comes first.
So the later your medical, the later your visa expiration date

Will the results be sent electronically and what was the cost?

Yes... The results will be sent electronically... But not immediately. The doctor has to wait for the results of your bloodwork tests, your urinalysis tests and your chest x-Ray scan. Once the results are good and no further tests required, the doctor saves the final forms online and it is uploaded immediately to the eMedical database. The results are checked by the Chief Medical officer at the regional medical office at London. If they are fine with the results, then it is forwarded to Accra Visa Office (CIC).

Costs for the basic tests:
Persons 15 years and above: NGN30,000.00
Persons 5 years to 14 years: NGN25,000.00
Persons below 5 years: NGN15,000.00

Even though it is not illegal in Nigeria, you should be careful. If you have any cause to come back to Nigeria while your passport is still with AVO and you don't have any other country's passport, you can go to the Nigerian embassy in the country you are in and request for "Emergency Travel Certificate (E.T.C.)". Make a copy of it because it will be collected from you at the airport in Nigeria.
