dear forum members! please HELP!!
Today I got E-cas status changed to "Decision made" (after "Medicals received" but without RPRF and PPR). By snail mail I have just received a leeter from Vienna stating their rejection due to non sufficient funds: thjey expected us to have $CAD 14.720 for two?Huh? When and how did this happen??? These are NEW rules, for my understanding they had to process our file on the old rules from last year, when we had to have $CAD 13.837!
What can I do?? this is so wrong''


The above statements was posted by one of our forum member in Vienna, we shall be very grateful if the senior and other experienced forumites assist this guy on how to turn the situation to positive
please note that he sent other requested documents after medical on 10th April 2014

"Processing" is a standard term they will use when updating any thing to your file, it does not really mean a lot of action has commenced. You notified them of your change in marital status and updated your application to include your spouse.

This means you will need to pay the additional cost recovery (processing/ application or whatever we choose to call it) fee for Spouse or Common Law Partner CAD$ 550 = USD$505 = GHC1,395

I don't know why it was GHC 1,260 was sent earlier and why it was referred to as "recent" increase in fees but this has been the rate since 2010 if memory serves me right

Hello everyone,.....just to share some information here. I've had correspondences with Accra VO. I recently changed my marital status and wanted to add my spouse to my application. I informed Accra and I was instructed to send in some documents which I did...after a while, I received another email from Accra, stating that they are processing my application, ....and for them to continue, I need to send another top up money order for 135 Ghana cedis. I was told that they had recently updated their prices. Its no longer 1260 cedis....I'm hoping that they have truly started processing as they said....my application was received by CIO on May 30th 2013.

That's what i thought too.......at least they are still taking our money and looking over our files...However, I still feel that they are doing something with our application...I will brief you guys again when I get my medical request......which is going to be very soon. ;D

I want to believe they've actually started processing your file even if its in small leaps, they could've just acknowledged the receipt of your updated documents, ask you to pay the required fee & that no further action is required from you. Indeed, this is a good news.

Pls is there anyone who attended university of ilorin and did his/her ECA from WES. I would like to know how many days it took uni ilorin to respond to the verification mail sent to them. And how many days it took for the whole process WES exercise.

@Timmt.I did, but can't remember precisely d nos of days it took them to reply,what I did was to present dem a copy of notification sent to me by WES to allow unilorin work on their reponse prior to time dy received correspondence from WES. So once dy received verification mail from wes, they just wrap up and despatched the following day. I present a copy of mail from wes but dy insist will to wait till it is officially received but eventually went ahead to prepare reply and it was fast, if am not wrong under a week they reply WES.

The information I have is the case officer is required to update the ECAS status as a critical routine anytime he/she works on your file so I assume there is an activity on our files at least. Mine was updated first in late January 2014 for the first time since it was updated at CIO in July 2013 when my PER was issued and then it was updated again on the 25th of April 2014.

Maybe we all have the same case officer at AVO...

I used TNT, each time I av to send to WES as unilorin have dem readily in schl,u can reach d agent via 07039151437 if u don't mind, charges is 9k.u can even copy d agent d mail so he will go to d right desk too to verify for u.in anyway good luck

Who knows??? Maybe,just maybe we have the same case officer. Before today,I never really noticed the ''date modified'' part of that web page. I'd just log in,check my application status and then log out. It was your post and that of Gentle Andrew that drew my attention to it.
