Top of the morning to everyone in the forum. I landed in Alberta with my family 2 weeks back and I thank God that we are settling in very well. That said, I have a big challenge in obtaining a driver license here at alberta because my wallet mysteriously disappeared on me at MMA while trying to checkin. Every effort to get a replacement back from home don't seem to be working. As I have been told, the license cannot be reissued in absentia, so I have to be physically present at the FRSC office to have the license reissued. I still remember the details on the misplaced license as I was able to pull out my details from the FRSC website with my ID number and my date of birth. Also, a contact back home said it might be possible for him to assist me with an international driver license, but I need to know if my misplaced license details or an international driver license can assist me in any way.

I sent CSE for additional family on 22nd April,2015 and i got a response on the 24th April asking me for updated forms, birth cert , passport and $150(CAD). Can someone with such experience please tell me at what stage will they ask for additional POF?

Hello congrats on the new addition to your family...they might not necessrily ask for POF update but you can include it with the document especially if your POF -with the new addition- now falls below the required for your new family size.Cheers

I got my PPR on the 11th March and passports sent same day. Received in Accra on the 14th March. On the 20th March, got another mail from Accra questioning me why I have two valid passports. Here's the thing, I have or had a valid Canadian WX-1 visa on an older passport of mine and the pages were filled up and had to get a new passport which was the one I was using for the application. At the time, I didn't think it was necessary for me to send an older passport as it had been cancelled at the point of renewal despite the few valid visas on it. Sent the older passport on the same day and explained that the passport had indeed been cancelled.

On the 31st checked, ECAS and decision made. So I kept refreshing my mails and hoping the pickup mail will drop in a day or two. Brethren, nothing happened. Week 1, week 2. I started fretting and getting uneasy as I had to use my passport on the 27th April. Didn't have a choice than to send a mail and CSE to Accra. Still no response. I was expecting the worst but at this stage I just wanted my passport back as it'd be stupid to toy with my livelihood as I wasn't sure Accra was up to again.

Send a message to gentleandrew, he gave me the calm needed to proceed. Told me to send the mail again and raise the CSE. I did and attached my flight details etc as I had done previously.

1:03pm, 23rd April pick up arrived. Initiated the pickup with DHL same day. Didn't get any reference number nor tracking number all through Friday. Called DHL Accra to confirm if they did pick up the documents, they told me the lady to confirm that has gone to the hospital....at this point, couldn't care about that lack of professionalism as I just wanted my passport back.

On my way to the DHL branch where I initiated the pickup, they called from NAHCO that my package is ready to for pick up so I just went straight to pick it up.

I was so nervous that I almost ripped one of the CoPRs apart.

The immigrant visas and CoPR all there and the visas were issued on the 26th March. Incredible!

And I was able to make the other visa application I needed to make on the 28th April.

Good is good. I can confirm that. Help me give a shout to Andrew, that man has got the spirit of the most High about him.

My details is on the 2014 spreadsheet but I enjoy this house more. So seniors, my timeline from Medicals is all included in this post.

hello house, the interview didn't go well, and its same for most pple who went for the interview except a few successful ones. The agent we used got us all in a big mess. dey sent me a mail that they have made dia findings and seen that my company letter is fabricated and hence fraudulent. and i shd respond within 30 days or else i would be given a 5yr ban. i need all the help i can get now house. am guessing i would need a good immigration lawyer to also help, any advise on how i can get one. helpppppppp

you don't really need agent if you can follow various group on this forum. As for where to start, you need to evaluate your academic credential with WES and then write IELTS exam with British council. After that you can then create your profile in EE.

Really a painful one . It is really a tough one and it will take God to handle it at this point. It is always good to contact immigration consultants that you can always see or meet with from time to time physically. Imagine them sending your immigration consultant an email for you to make clarifications concerning certain things but you never got to know. They will just think that you refused to answer because you know that you are guilty.

If you are sure of what you have, you will have to contact them again if your file is not close yet. Provide information of people that they can contact in that same office that can vouch for you. It requires a very clear cut convincing now. You can contact me personally if you so desire. Cheers

sorry to ask this question, did you actually submitted your reference letter or did the agent arranged it for you? If you actually submitted your original then you can respond to them but if not please try Australia

Congrats on your safe landing, may the land yield it increase for you. I think your best option is the international licence since you can pull your information out. Or pm me for an FRSC officer contact may be they can assist.

sorry to ask this question, did you actually submitted your reference letter or did the agent arranged it for you? If you actually submitted your original then you can respond to them

So sorry @PPBem but tbaba has hit the nail on the head. A number of you used the same agent and you know why things went sour. If you are unable to explain that document that is the source of all the problem, then AVO will close your file with the resulting sanction.

The scenario is really painful but I suggest you begin to look at Australian immigration, all the best.

You know it if d doc in question is fraudulent or not. If what d immigration said is true, i would advise u do not waste ur money on any legal service since u dont av one from the onset. No Canadian licensed immigration lawyer will defend a fraudulent client at the risk of their license. If they do agree to defend the status quo, they just wanna milk u cos of ur desire. So think well.

However, if u are very sure that d allegations of the Immigration is false, pls go ahead with the legal defence.

Pls be wise and think of future opportunities. The decision will make today can either make or mar the opportunities of tomorrow, even with other countries that Canada av immigration agreements
