My application got to CIC on October 31st, when did yours get there Nonye? Although I send additional info which arrived on the 9th of November. So I do not know if I will treated as an October applicant or November applicant. May God helps us all with grace!

Applications we will accept – Federal skilled workers
As of May 4, 2013, Citizenship and Immigration Canada will only consider federal skilled worker (FSW) applications from people who have:

at least one year of continuous and paid (full-time or an equal amount in part-time) work experience in a single occupation,
within the last 10 years,
at skill type 0, or skill levels A or B of the 2011 edition of the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC), and who are:
in one of the 24 eligible occupations, and whose application is received under the occupation’s sub-cap and overall FSW cap, or
with a valid offer of arranged employment, or
who are applying under the PhD stream (see below) until the PhD cap of 1,000 applications is reached.
All applicants must also:

meet the minimum language threshold (and submit approved language test results), and
submit a Canadian educational credential or foreign credential and an assessment of their foreign education from an approved agency, and
meet all requirements of the FSW Program.
Applications per eligible occupation:
Between May 4, 2013, and April 30, 2014, we will consider no more than 5,000 complete FSW applications for processing. Within the 5,000 cap, we will consider no more than 300 applications per eligible occupation for processing within this same time frame.

The cap year began on May 4, 2013, and will end on April 30, 2014, unless otherwise stated by the Minister.

Note: Due to the large number of applications we get, we cannot check that each one is complete on the same day it gets to the office. The numbers on this page are updated at least once a week, but are only a guide. There is no guarantee that an application sent in now will fall within the cap by the time it gets to the Centralized Intake Office.

Total received toward the overall cap: 3,109 of 5,000

Hopefulval, mine arrived November 18. In my opinion, if the document u sent on November 9 is a document that is needed to process your application, then u will be a November 9 applicant unless CIC matched the docment with your application before they assessed it. This is because they won't be able to process it until they receive that document and will go ahead with other applications. The important thing is to pray that they match the document with ur application asap.

Thanks Nonye, as at date I have not heard that anybody who submitted last week in October has been debited or received PER so I pray that they should have already matched it before now. It arrived just 9 days after my initial package arrived. That's closer to when my application was received than it is to now. Lol! Why would I have needed to send a document that is not required for the processing of my application?! I hate to get into the mode of over analysis though, will just wait patiently. By the way, I have confidence as Floxy, on this forum had done something similar and has received her PER. So there is a precedence with a good result. As everyone who is on the forum (I hope) we pray to God Almighty and wait. There are people whose packages have been returned saying one document is missing only to be found in the return package by the applicant. Nothing is guaranteed until the end. Patience and Perseverance are the key.

Hello fellow forumites, happy waiting for sleeping VOs & pray that they all wake up like NDVO and never hibernate like CPPO . Please can anyone tell me how much it costs to do Medical test in Lagos Nigeria? How long it takes to book appointment? and whether the Panel of physician are e-enabled or not. Note that I am referring to approved Medical panels in Lagos.

Thank you.

I was just looking at the CIC datasets website (http://data.gc.ca/eng/facts-and-figures#top10). Please feel free to check there once in a while as CIC updates information it receives from individual VOs. The one that caught my attention was the Permanent Resident Visa Applications Received Abroad dataset (http://data.gc.ca/data/en/dataset/5c003561-ce36-4881-a5a4-c30f9f456690).

From the document, I was able to see the number of FSW applications received by Accra VO on a quarterly basis.

Quarter Number of applications received
Q1 2011 58
Q2 2011 85
Q3 2011 146
Q4 2011 56
2011 Total: 345
Q1 2012 57
Q2 2012 19
Q3 2012 0
Q4 2012 0
2012 Total: 76
Q1 2013 0
Q2 2013 1
Q3 2013 Data not yet available
Q4 2013 Data not yet available
2013 Total: 1

From the NIGERIA APPLICANT PLEASE LET US NETWORK thread, people who recently received MRs were people that their applications were received by Accra VO in Q1 2012. For example (vmaac and Forsure) received AOR in Q1 2012. With_God received AOR in early Q2 2012.

From this data, I can assume that only 76 applications(which are currently being processed) need to be processed before us. The first FSW 2013 application was received in Q2 2013. And we can only see Q3 2013 applications when CIC makes an update sometime next year.

So, my fellow FSW 2013 applicants, just hang in there... the end is almost near. On a more optimistic note, our applications may already be undergoing eligibility checks at the Visa Office.
