Hello All,

About 4 people from NDVO received their MR today. This is really good news. Hopefully Accra VO would soon start dealing with ours.

Its me again with another enquiry. About my job experience, the duties for my present job match my NOC code but the title does not and as a result, I chose another NOC code in the form thereby limiting the likely points that will be calculated for job experience though this will not affect my overall points. My question now is will the experience still be considered or not since the NOC code I chose for it is not among those under consideration and is not same as the one I applied under?

In my opinion, choosing a NOC that is not in the list of 25 NOCS published by CIC will not lead to the award of points. The yardstick is the duties of a particular NOC. You should have used the title of the NOC to which your present job matches. In that way you would have been sure of the duties and NOC. It's my opinion anyway. The way they assign points to these requirements can only be explained better by a visa officer. Wishing you all the best.

Ty, choosing Noc code not under consideration will not fly @ all @ all. If not anybody and everybody will apply and be considered. The reason they choose those codes is to meet the shortfall of those jobs in their economy, though some comes up almost every yr but it keeps changing.
