Hi all, please I have a question. Is it necessary to notify AVO about a job change? Do u think as part of their background checks, they will use medium's such as LinkedIn to confirm employment. I recently changed jobs and don't know what action to take next. Please let me hear your opinions. Thank you.

Just to be on a safe side of caution,notify them.
Include details of the new Job(offer letter,payslips and so on) and exit letter from the previous.
it doesn't really cost you anything other than sending a mail to them.

My people please what do u think about my question below.

Our PER document specified that we should inform them of job and employer changes. This is the requirement. As I stated earlier I couldn't inform them of changes to my job in time (though I didn't change employer). Also, just this last weekend, someone from CIC Canada checked my LinkedIn profile. (Please don't take it as anything, as I have been busy lately with accumulating lots of Canada contacts on my LinkedIn).

I want to say the best thing is to advise AVO of any changes through the CSE. And even if they check your LinkedIn profile, they don't have the right to use the information there against you.

Wow you mean they checked your Linkedlin?How did you know this?That means after the whole check on Linkedln and may be others, before you were sent your medical request?
