Wow!!! I was actually expecting a reduction in processing time!...well lets keep or our fingers crossed, there is divine Grace available to us here
It is the average processing time depending on the backlog of applications. FSW13 applicants from other visa offices have received PR visas in less than ten months so let's just hope for the best from Accra VO. Based on recent activities, we hope they will soon clear the backlog of applications.

Hello guys,I just got PER.
I have a question for people who have the experience,I was informed in the email on 6/11/2103 that my app will be transferred to my VO, so when am I likely to get AOR from Accra VO?

Accra don't give AOR, you are on queue for MR. Good luck.

Congrats Debarge, your ministry is moving gradually :D

So what happened to clearing all backlogs before end of dec 2014?

The Accra Visa office has increased the processing time of applications received after 25 June 2010 from 27 months to 30 months. This is obviously not joyful news.

Really? Then, how long does it take to get the MR on the average?

Thanks, Gabrilla and M5

I think there will be a cap update tomorrow

Yor cap is not too agressive so i am hopeful you will get in

But,i look unto Jesus the author and the finisher of my faith.

I find it difficult to believe that it will take 30 months. This present FSWP is quite different in a lot of ways.We had to first submit our academic records to an education evaluation agency. Then, some of the forms have been upgraded.IELTS scores have been increased;at least band 6 at all levels or no entry of application.Changes made to occupation areas etc.

The rate at which the last set of people that applied before us are getting MR from ACCRA is on the increase.I am of the view that they want to quickly finish up with them before this year runs out and then concentrate on our own.Ours will be faster because they want to quickly do away with some rules and then introduce expression of interest style where you will have to write like a letter and potential companies will have to choose from the pool of applications the individuals that best suit there respective companies. This will start by January 2015 if i am not mistaken.

I just applied last month with NOC 2263 but have not gotten any response from CIC. Anyone that applied with the same NOC should pls share their experience

According to the CIC website, "The times are based on how long it took to process 80 percent of all cases between October, 2012 to September 30, 2013." So if Accra speeds up its processing based on backlog reduction, then the procesing time will surely come down. This piece of information is updated quarterly, so we can look forward to another update circa January 2014.

It contains a downloadable excel file which shows the application backlogs as at April 9 2013. Obviously some of those backlogs have been cleared.
