Thanks One_Topsy,
I have checked my box including spam and junks, but i haven't received anything of such. I also checked my CiC profile and BG check is still in progress. Please what is AOR (please pardon my naivety). I submitted application Nov 29th 2015 and it was confirmed received same day. All docs (wes/ielts/medicals/pcc) were all uploaded with application also. Then they asked for Schedule 4,4a and A. They also requested IELTS results for myself and wifey. Can i contact them? Heard Planning for canada should be post PPR but i still await PPR.

Hi ayodele2107,

what is schedule 4, 4a and A. Am new too and there are so many abbreviations going on here. hope you don't mind?

Dear everyone,

I have a question regarding my Canadian PR application, I am hoping someone here can help.
I got my ITA on 4th December and submitted my application on the 29th of December 2015. Part of my PoF was a gift from my mum and I uploaded a gift deed and a signed letter from my mum to that effect. However, my mum and I do not bear the same surname as she is married to someone else. I would have uploaded my birth certificate but my birth certificate shows that we bear the same surname. I am planning to send a CSE explaining the discrepancy in surnames and uploading a sworn affidavit or declaration of age stating my mum's current surname. Is this necessary or do I just pray that my VO will ignore the differences in surnames.

Looking forward to your advice.

Thank you

Hi selinah,

Please what is the time frame between when you submitted your EE profile and when you were sent an ITA, and secondly this POF is it automatic that one must submit it immediately with your ITA application or there's a separate time to submit POF. Am actually interested in the actual time we are asked for POF and the time frame I have in my hands to organize my account. Thirdly, were you asked for 6 months bank statement or just bank balance? Sorry too many questions, but I really do need answers. Thanks in advance for your help.

all CIC expects u to do is show that all the funds in the account BELONG TO YOU.... and that u have ACCESS to it ANYTIME YOU WANT!
if the pension account fits this description, then use it.remember that the bank would give u a letter describing this account in detail so they would know if u have UNRESTRICTED ACCESS to the funds.

Hi,

I do not think we have access to pension fund or do we? I have good pension fund as well if this pension will be accept it will be a big boost to my POF.

It's not when you create your account that determines when you get ITA. The draws are being held on wednesdays now (2ce a month roughly). So whenever you create your profile, watch out for a draw the following wednesday.

The PoF documents is required at the time of your submission after ITA. You are given 60 days to apply after youy get ITA.

To the best of my knowledge, Nigerian banks do not give bank balance or average certificate. For my applicaiton, I got confirmation of account, reference letter and bank statements for the past 6 months.

Thanks One_Topsy for the reply. means a lot to me.

So in your own case for POF, did you just leave the requested amount in your account for the whole of that six months, because am guessing that is what they want to see or I might be wrong.
Why am very particular about this POF is that my cash is in business, i will need to shut down business to trap all the requested cash (for 5 family size), you know business people hardly store money in the bank, so my question is: If am able to trap all the requested cash, should i just keep in the bank for up to six months, even though there wont be activity in that account any longer since business wont be in session, will this be ok by them.

Hello akubilly,
I have successfully created the account and we have a total of 450 points though we're in process of getting wife's ECA done so that we can have more point to boost ITA invitation.

Hello seniors and all those that have gotten PR. I have a question to ask

Regarding proof of fund, is showing a landed property by providing land survey plus value of the land in addition to bank statement going to help in anyway? Or one should just stick to bank statement?

Hi Nas man, I am still expecting my PPR email but based on knowledge and what I have read on CIC website, only evidence of cash is accepted e.g bank account statement, fixed deposit, mutual funds. Landed property, cars, house aren't.

Good day all, please I have an issue that I don't know how to go about it; I have a dependant that's not my biological daughter, she's my niece, the mother who was my only sister is late and she was a single mum before she passed. Now my question is how do I include her in my application? she's 12, I'm the one responsible for her and I have three boys of my own.
I'm eyeing Manitoba and it looks like they have stringent rule about dependant being applicants children. please anyone with knowledge or ideas of how To go about this will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

One thing you can do is to LEGALLY adopt her as your child and then you can put her as a dependant. Speak to a lawyer about the process of adoption.
