Basically, they want proof of ties to your country of origin. Things like marital status, dependants, proof of landed properties, evidence of involvement in social activities in home country, prospects for you in home country after course completion etc. There isn't really an exclusive list of proving this. The CiC has sent out a bullettin to visa offices on this particular issue, and all the info is on the CiC website for all to see.

Hi guys,

Nice to know we r all hanging in there i know most are going the immigration way but what do u guys think abt the high rate of study permit refusals at CDHC in lag. Reasons u have nt proved that u r bonafide student or u have not proved u'll return upon completion of ur studies and all such. Nawa oh
Dat Na True. You go need to prove to dem say you dey go for further studies, like say, you don finish college or get first degree and also dat you go come back when you finish your studies. En, but di main problem be say na wetin dem want as proof?
Na dis bit wey dey eat me and I want to Know.

Anybody, know di answer? As me self get one "paddy" wey dem reject on di same basis?

Hello Bobby,
Its nice to read all these from u. Like myself i have not apply at all,i wanted to understudy all the procedures, and more so my work experience has not reached 10years as stated in one of the pages of the CIC manual.I understand Bobby has applied during this fast track era,and we all hope to read on the page here that Bobby has been given PR finally against all the odds lets say between 6months to a year as said by the minister.Bobby nothing do u, U would soon be a lecturer here and probably immigration personnel on Canada stuff to NAIJA guys. Wishing u best in ur endeavor.
