Hello people, a friend in Canada said cic just sent out ITA invitation to apply last week. My question is since I did not apply under express entry do I need an ITA from cic?? I got my nomination last year Nov. Submitted in march this year and in june my account was debited as in my application fees was taken...so do I fall under a draw as in express entry formart???

Hi YemyemA,

Since your application was not done through express entry, you do not fall under the draws. I'm not familiar with the paper based process but from what I know about the express entry process, there's a monthly payment draw for EE applicants and all who qualify get an ITA.

You should refer to the cic website for further details. Others in the house can throw more light on what you should expect

Hello everyone, I was going through the 2014 batch timeline and I noticed a few people underwent the "physical enquiry" stage which includes when your current and/or previous employer(s) is/are visited to verify your claims/documents. Here, employer's signature, payslips, attendance log are checked etc.
Now, my question is, has anyone here come across this or been subject to this sort of verification?
