I once said Accra VO is one of the slowest but u disagreed with me then. Those two visa offices u mentioned (Manila n India) also have backlog of applications from Fsw, yet they are still trying to catch up with PNP files rather than abandonment as its with Accra. Try to do a rough survey on the number of Filipino applicants that are trying to immigrate to Canada, then u ll agree with me that Accra VO has more beds than tables.

Accra Visa Office Sleeps on!!!!

Hi, can someone please tell me how long our Nigerian police report is valid for, how much it costs and how quickly it can be obtained? Thanks :)

Three months.

Thank you. Do you know how long it takes and how much it is? I will be sending my finger prints via courier to my family to obtain it.

Hi,
Good evening. Please can anyone clarify on the paths that are involved after LOA and what determines the path that an applicant is expected to follow?

@ BA2LAMAX

It ranges between 5000 to 12000, its between that, so it depends on how u negotiate, its valid for 3 months, so i will advice u, thats wat u do last, u can go to ikoyi, alagbo close, within 10 mins ur tru

so take along with u your international passport, then snap ur 4 passports with u, then when u get there, there is a form u will fill, then u do finger prints, they check ur name may b ur on wanted list or criminal list, if u are clear, they issue u the police report

After you have received LOA (Nomination letter), u then approach CIC by submitting an application for permanent resident. What determines the path is the content of your nomination letter. The province can either ask you to apply via paper base or thru EE on CIC website. After submission, you wait for CIC Acknowledgement (AOR), follow by Medical Request (MR), then Passport request (PPR) all within the space of 15 months according to the current processing time frame.

Thanks so much Ayokunle for the detailed info. However, the only difference is I wouldn't be doing it myself because I'm in Canada. So that's why I said I will be sending my finger print to them. Do you know if I still have to send a photocopy of my passport bio page and passport photos? As for negotiation, I bet my sister is capable ;)

By the way, my family is in PH, so can this be done at any police station?
