Ehen my people,i have been meaning to write about my medicals experience o but took it all for granted and lazy, until @Stevj unknowingly gingered me up.....
I wrote in another forum
that in this immigration procedd, the duration differs from application to application, i personally cannot quantify the amount of anxiety this journey carries but,the main thing is pushing through the anxiety and keeping hope alive, and to always be thankful for what stage we are...it could have been worse.
Now...the medicals....
I used Qlife, and i must say that was a wonderful experience all round.
The sequence.....
On getting the mail from accra,we booked an appointment with them fr their next available date...they were booked solid but we got a date sha and was told to bring the required docs (original international passport, photocopy of data page, 2 passport photographs, medical forms from accra and debit card, they dont collect cash. 28k fr adults,20k fr kids below 5 and i think 22k fr kids above 5) ps...if possible, have cash available in more than one bank in case of bank wahala
That was our saving grace.
We were frst on the list as we got in very early.
started off with urinalysis( mum and dad), then went in for xray..mum and dad too, vitals were taken for the whole family
Bp check, temp, weight, height, bmi calculated, then eye check( like at d optician's). We were then called in for blood work( mum n dad)hiv and syphilis
Wen all dese was done, the doctor called us in for a chat on family medical
history. then did a physical examination on all members of d family.
that was it. All this took about 2 and a half hours. The front desk lady was sooo lovely! Her name is Remi. Very helpful.
So guys, there you have it.it was nerve racking at d hospital sha cos u keep wondering and hoping all goes well.
Tips on lifestyle before you go in for medicals...advised by seniors..
Take in a lot of water to flush out toxins
Eat healthy
Take in a lot of fruits and veggies
Avoid oily and greasy foods
If possible, try not to drive on the day of medicals bcos ds our lagos traffic fit gv person high bp.( traffic induced bp), coupled with the natural anxiety...not a good recipe
Sleep as much as u can a night before( easier said than done...na so i shine eye all night long)
That is all for now, if there's anything i ommitted,I'll modify the post. Cheers guys...lets keep hope alive
