I think am familiar with this moniker on NL. Given the most recent development in the tarry nature of the study permit application by the VOs, upfront medicals has proven to make an application fast evidently to previous numerous applicants.

You still have time, just wait for a while there after you can do an upfront

NB: your app don't get any special attention in regards to doing an upfront medicals but just helps in the aspect of time saving

BTW is your app been processed in GH? because I know Nigerians app whether online or paper is currently been processed in Kenya. Please clarify

Hello ZoeAmbali,

Thanks for sharing your story, it is one of perseverance even in the face of stereotyping and apparent discrimination. Since your passport has been requested for I am confident that you will receive your visa soon. On the other hand it is a shame how the Canadian embassy is treating Nigerian embassy, I was complaining about 5 months application for only to read of your own case. Please let us know how it goes.

I wish you all the best.

Cheers.

Hi Nuel182,

By applying for UG study permit on the 24th of January for May intake might be cutting it too close, the Canadian embassy can be very slow with their verification process. I hope you did the upfront medicals, that will help speed up the process, the medical report is valid for 12 months. I am still investigating and trying to find out why the Canadian embassy have moved their operational base for issuing temporary resident permits from Accra Ghana to Nairobi Kenya. But as pointed out earlier decisions are taken in Kenya, but it appears actual printing of the TRV is done in Lagos.

Cheers.

All the best

Congratulations ZoeAmbali, You are one of the less than 15% applying from Nigeria that gets their visas approved.

I wish you the very best in pursuit of your studies, and a wonderful experience in Canada.

Please make the most of it, helping special needs children can be challenging and rewarding at the same time. May you find the right balance.

All the best,

Cheers,

Omofar.
