Good day house, finally i received a mail from AVO this afternoon after sending an inquiry mail two days ago, AVO claimed that they have sent a mail to me on the 19th of August. The immigration officer handling our application refused our application on the ground that he is not satisfied with the additional documents we submitted concerning POF.
Fellow members i need your advise, how do we go about this?

@abik, if your POF is a genuine bank statement/Fixed Deposit certificate and you have the require funds in the account in question, i would advise you appeal immediately.

I don't think the transactions matter much. Was the closing balance greater or equal to the requested POF for your family size?

Another issue is that, does AVO analysis your source of fund with your bank statement? I have a friend who was refuse Uk visa on the ground that based on his annual salary he could not earn the amount in his bank statement balance, the true is that apart for his salary he earn more money from other personal project. (For example as a structural engineer working in an engineering firm and you are COREN registered, you can earn more money doing PP). Probably they don't just look at the balance but on the transactions in the bank statement.

Then like your friend who has a part-time job (doing his PP), he should have stated this as part of his work experience in his form IMM-5669-E. Like you said, maybe there isn't any correlation between his income and POF which may have raised a red flag

Seniors.... I just checked my application status at the CIC website and i saw this.

"A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision."

I haven't gotten any mail yet. Should i send a mail to the AVO?

Hello people
I am 2014 fsw applicant and I am new in this forum. I would like to know if one can submit a fixed deposit certificate as updated pof and if it would be accepted by avo knowing it was bank balance certificate that was submitted initially with the applicant to cic.

It will be accepted but to be on a safer side send both certificate and bank statement.

Hi, you're welcome to this thread. As you may have gathered, most of us here applied for Canadian PR visas through the FSW program. Please check this link on the program and see if you would like to consider it, http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp
Once you are done, you can ask specific questions and a lot of people here will respond with answers. Wish you the best in your quest, God bless :)
