What can you say about this on CIC website;

How much money should you bring?
It is a good idea to research how much it costs to live in the place where you plan to settle in Canada.

Bring as much money as you can to make moving and finding a home in Canada easier. Note, however, that Canadian customs regulations require you to declare if you are bringing more than C$10,000 into Canada. If you do not tell them, you may be fined or put in prison. These funds could be in the form of:

cash
documents that show property or capital payable to you (such as stocks, bonds, debentures, treasury bills, etc.) or
documents that guarantee payment of a set amount of money, which are payable to you (such as bankers' drafts, cheques, travellers' cheques or money orders).

Hello, the above applies AFTER you have received your PR visa and are about to go to Canada not when you are about to apply.
POF in the manner prescribed in the Instructions Guide and Document Checklist is a must. All of us have stocks, shares and others but we didn't use those as POF to apply, we used the documents prescribed in the guidelines. Cheers.

I don't think the "cousin" title is included among those who you can claim points for. I only know of sister, brother, parents and spouses...I may be wrong. My seniors please confirm for clarity

You need just 67points to scale through. Have you done a self assessment? You may not even need a relative after-all.

Good day seniors,

Can I use FIXED DEPOSIT STATEMENT as updated POF.
Or do I need to liquidate the money into my current account. Has anyone gone through this same process with AVO?
Please note that I have FD statement for 5months already.

Your input will be well appreciated. Thanks

Abeke. Fixed deposit is one of the POFs. You are ok.

Well, from my assessment, i met 67 points but i wouldnt mind if i got extra points for adaptability, cos my cousin is willing to do anything for me just to claim points in that regards, hence my asking.

Thank you.

Hello dear .
You mentioned staying away from "gbo gbo ero" areas like Toronto. Is this an advise from personal experience or the a general knowledge? Please can you explain....?

There is an exception to this if that's the only place you have a Host.... but if you don't know anyone or planning to be more independent consider Western Canada i.e Alberta, Saskatchewan.. cos there seems to be more "Balanced" opportunities in these areas.

Hello People,

NOC 0113 showing zero. Does it mean that no one has applied to this eligible occupation?. This is the occupation am considering and thinking of sending my application before the end of the month.

Thank you.

My dear people, I need ur help/advise on an issue. I have a fellow fsw applicant (not on forum) who after medicals was asked to attend interview and after interview was later told that they were not convinced about his records. They asked him to get a lawyer to prove his case within 30 days. So is there anyone who can recommend a lawyer who preferably is experienced in Nigeria/Canada immigration cases that can handle this kind of situation?

Note: David Cohen had been contacted but would not treat a case that he did not start

Ur recommendations would be highly appreciated

Thanks in advance
