1. How long does it take for work permit application to be processed in CIC Lagos, Nigeria
2. Are Nigerians eligible to apply for work permits at the POE (Point of entry) ?

Anyone?

1. I'm not too sure about the duration but it may be about 2 - 3 months. They will give you a visa that allows you to enter Canada as a worker but the Work Permit will be issued in Canada. I hope you know that this is not the same with a Permanent residence visa.

2. Nope - Nigerians are not eligible to apply for work permits at the POE (Point of entry). I'm not sure though. My thought is just that all those fine fine countries no dey give us that kind enjoyment.

I think you will have to. I had similar experience - I moved abroad after filing my application and changed my contact address with CIC. I was asked to provide updated PCC for Nigeria and my new location when I received the medical request. They also asked me to provide the POF again.
So it makes sense to be ready just in case. I won't provide it unless they specifically ask though.

Hello Deyor, Welcome aboard this forum. Agree with you. He needs to include new location in updated PCC, having spent more than 6 months there.

Looks like you need to update your timeline, though!

Hi, Thanks for replying. I just found out that the duration for work permit in Lagos, Nigeria is 6months. However in Ghana it is 3months. Is it possible for another country to process the work permit ? For example can a Nigerian send his work permit application to Ghana CIC?
