I'm sorry for staying off this forum for a while.
I and my family landed in Calgary on Saturday 31 May 2014 into the
Waiting hands of Gabil, Gel and HAA. God bless them both.
The journey was smooth but very long bcos we took Egyptair. For your information
Egyptair is cheap but very long journey. I will not prescribe it for anybody
no matter how cheap.
Anyway, the landing process was very quick and fast. In just 40 minutes we are done. POF not asked. The immigration officer was very friendly.
In a nutshell, we have landed.
I pray that Accra answers everybody waiting IJNA.

I am kemi.I applied for the federal skilled worker last year and was sent a confirmation mail and UCI number last year march. We were three in my family when I applied but there was an addition to my family and I sent them all required documents.Today I was sent the mail below:

I have now completed the assessment of your application for a permanent resident visa as a member of the federal skilled worker class. I have determined that you do not meet the requirements for immigration to Canada.
Subsection 12(2) of the
Immigration and Refugee Protection Act states that a foreign national may be selected as a member of the economic class on the basis of their ability to become economically established in Canada. Subsection 75(1) of the regulations prescribes the federal skilled worker class as a class of persons who are skilled workers and who may become permanent residents on the basis of their ability to become economically established in Canada.
Pursuant to the
Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations, 2002, skilled worker applicants are assessed on the basis of the criteria set out in subsection 76(1). The assessment of these criteria determines whether a skilled worker will be able to become economically established in Canada. The criteria are age, education, knowledge of Canada's official languages, experience, arranged employment and adaptability.
Your application was assessed based on the occupation(s) Maximum
in which you requested
assessment: .
The table below sets out the points assessed:
Points assessed

Age 10 10
Education 20 25
Experience 21 21
Arranged employment 0 10
Official language proficiency 10(Rewrite IELTS Pls) 24
Adaptability 4(Why score of 4 under adaptability) 10
TOTAL 65 10

You have not obtained the minimum number of points, currently 67, required for a permanent resident visa. You were awarded points according to the information you have provided in your application. You have therefore not satisfied me that you will be able to become economically established in Canada.

Subsection 76(3) of the regulations permits an officer to substitute their evaluation of the likelihood to become economically established in Canada if the number of points awarded is not a sufficient indicator of whether the skilled worker may become economically established in Canada.

Also, I reviewed your financial assets in order to satisfy me that you have sufficient financial resources for a family of 4 people. Based on the information you have provided, I am not satisfied that you meet the minimum financial requirements for a family of 4 people. You provided evidence to have available funds totalling 16,644$ however, the minimum financial required for a family of 4 people is 20,654$(Increase your account balance to cover 4 people with at least $21500).

Subsection 11(1) of the Act states that a foreign national must, before entering Canada, apply to an officer for a visa or for any other document required by the regulations. The visa or document shall be issued if, following an examination, the officer is satisfied that the foreign national is not inadmissible and meets the requirements of this Act. Subsection 2(2) specifies that unless otherwise indicated, references in the Act to "this Act" include regulations made under it.

Following an examination of your application, I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of the Act and the regulations for the reasons explained above. I am therefore refusing your application.

Thank you for the interest you have shown in Canada.

Sincerely,

Immigration Officer
