Congrats Temi and Olamide am glad your interview went well. Dcrest congrats on your PPR. To all forumites keep on keeping on no time is too late to land in Canada as God makes all things beautiful in his time. When Accra is delaying, use the time to get busy acquiring skills and certifications that can be useful here.

The wait can be killing!!! Trust me I have been there but I used the two years plus it took me to start ACCA certification while in Nigeria, I wrote my last paper before I landed and that certification gave me a big boost in Canada. I got that information on the forum that with ACCA I can get CGA in Canada and I started immediately. Was it easy NO but it's easier in Naija where One has a lot of help in family and friends than in Canada so I urge everyone to take advantage of the waiting time to enrich oneself.

This Journey is a marathon not a 100 meter dash! While I don't mean to scare anyone immigration at the initial time can be tough and challenging but with God and positive mindset we will succeed.

Thanks for the one million pound advise

Hello all,
I landed Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada since 15th May, 2014 with all members of my family. The journey through Qatar Airways from Lagos - Doha - Montreal & Canada Air to Winnipeg therefore was pleasant. My children are very excited for the fulfilment of long time dream.

I'm settling down & I will get back in details
In summary, I'm fulfilled. I love my new home & country.

Regards!
gina.
Congrats Gina for the successful landing. May you find favours in your new home.

Wish everyone all the best in the Canada project.

Cheers!

@ Chingy,
we are not much based on the fact that only 5000 pple applied for 2013 fsw. africans can take 1/3 of that 5000

my opinion....

@ Gentleadrew,

So if we take 1/6 of 5000, that is 834 applicant of which all will not be processed by AVO.
logically speaking, we are not much compared to 2011/2012 applications recieved by AVO

different opinion?

Hi, sorry about the wrong information given to you by your GT Bank branch. GT Bank actually issues Canadian dollar drafts. That is where most Nigerians get it.

If you are in Lagos, pls get accross to their Funds Transfer Head Office at Oyin Jolayemi Street, Victoria Island. You can fund your domiciliary account (or your friend's account) and write an application for the draft to the same unit and submit through your local branch. Request that you want the letter scanned to their Head Office.
All the best.

If you are in Lagos, go straight to their Oyin Jolayemi office.

I think it was around 4300 plus. The portion that will get to Accra might be around 600 plus. They have allotted 1400 visas to AVO this calender year through march next year. Everything remains in the hand of Baba God oooo

Great advice

Re: Great advice

Dear all,
We thank Almighty God for His faithfulness. We landed gracefully and joyfully in Montreal, Canada enroute Doha via (had stop over in Doha and we were lodged in a 4star hotel)Quatar Airways on 16th May 2014.
The journey though very long but was interesting. However, there was no mentioned of landing fund and all landing formalities was seamless and smooth.
We re gradually settling down in our new home and country.
To all that re still waiting, your time to be celebrated is on the way, just keep hope alive and all ll be well.
Thank you all and stay bless.
