Hello House,

I need your advice, is it ok to present my husband's bank statement for proof of fund or it has to be my own account, being the principal applicant?

Thank you.

Good one! Congrats! AVO more MR, PRV etc PLEASE.

I think it will be good all forumites update their progess e.g. Date application filed, nomination/PER, MR etc at the left side. It is very helpful for those on queue for one updates or other to know their position like on spreadsheet. Newbies, others please wake up!

Sincerely I see no problems with that since he is legally married to you and also an applicant. However, if it is a joint account or yours alone it's preferred. Just make sure there is consistent cash flow and you are able to defend source of income although AVO may not get to that extent like I hear in some other VO.

Personally part of my POF was a joint account with my wife and I had no issues before PER. This also helps to lend credence to your marriage.

Good luck!

Hi House,
Please I need your suggestions. Want to find out if it is possible for me and my spouse to do our medicals in different countries without causing any problems in our application process.

We just received our medical request today, I am in the UK and my spouse is in Nigeria. We choose Accra as our Visa office. Want to know if I can do mine here in the UK ( to save cost of travelling) while my spouse does it in Nigeria.

Did anyone have a similar circumstance pls? If I have to travel to Nigeria at the end of the day, I will, but just looking to see if I have other options.

Thanks.

congrats on your MR

You sure can have your MR in the UK while she undergoes medical screening in lagos ... All you have to do is make sure they are CIC appointed practices

Cheers

@Temi & Naturals,
Congrats on ur MR. Like this and more of such news in Jesus name.

Dear Madam,

You have got absolutely nothing to worry about as regards this. Since both of you are legally married and you use his last name, you may present his statement as POF. Below is what AVO requires on POF as indicated in their MR mail to me

'' Please provide updated proof of unencumbered transferable and available funds''. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

Cheers

Iceway block,

You are welcome. Let me cease this opportunity to tell all Newbies that it is important you introduce yourself by giving us a gist of your NOC when you apply and whether you are FSW or Provincial Nominee applicant at your first post. Thank you.
