Olamide,
I doubt if it is possible for you to do upfront Medicals....I am not sure how that will work.
For one, you need the medical form IMME to be able to do the medicals, it is usually electronically generated with a barcode specific to each applicant and dependant, and you cannot get it until Accra sends it to you.
Second, why would you decide to do the Medicals upfront? Remember that the lifespan of your medicals is just one year, and if you do not land in that year, you will have to repeat the medicals. So, what if you actually successfully do the medicals (although not sure if that is possible), and your PPR is delayed for whatever reason (strike, mistakes, processing time delays etc), and it expires...you will still have to redo the medicals....
I think we should just wait, and hope that the updates will resume.

Hi Ekundapsy! I am a new forum member that joined the forum yesterday. Congrats on your recent achievement in securing your Canada immigration PR visa after a very long wait. I applied on Sept 6, 2013 for FSW1, FSW 2013 with NOC 2134(chemical engineering) and received my PER on Nov 28, 2013.

However I would like to know if AVO asked you to re- present proof of funds(POF) either at the point of MR, PPR or PRV? If they did, what kind of account did they ask for or do have preference for? Is it fixed deposit statements, current account balance or savings account balance. At the point of submitting my application I presented fixed deposit statement of 2 months while my spouse presented current account balances for 6 months.

After that we've depleted our accounts for some other expenses. I ask in order to know if we need to start building up our accounts. Will combination of any of these accounts suffice? When do you advise we should start? Let me know what your experience was like.

Thank you.

Good Day, I am an inland Applicant living in Canada, I have a dependent who is in Nigeria, Though he is listed as non-accompanying, He has to go through his medicals though, which he has done, Does anyone know how long it takes for accra to finilise a non accompanying dependent he is just 6 years old, Because Vegreville is waiting for Accra to finilise his file before they give me final decision, does anyone know how long it takes Accra to finilise a non-accompanying dependent, His medicals was sent to Accra. Thanks

My people, PPR landed around 1000am yesterday. A window of 10days interval after my Medicals. Na God.

Though this is not addressed to me but I think I have an experience to share.
I was asked to submit another POFwhen I received my MR.what I submitted were the statement of my current account, the csse statement of my shares and my pension fund statement.their letter stated an unencumbered transferable fund and available fund.
So relax.if they need an info or clarification you will be duly informed.
Best regards
Eni
