@ Maky, Congratulations on your successful landing, God will deliver all He has destined for you and your family in Canada in due course.

Eldorado...with rgds to Ur question, have U checked Ur Ecas to ascertain if you have a third line that is “medical received”...In my case I got my third line then few days latter my PPR.Though ecas cannot be entirely relied upon, And other factors may even cause slight delay from what I have read , such as if U have lived outside ur country for more than six months, then checks would be carried out with regards to the different countries U have lived. Regardless of the above, CSI would not cost U anything , U can send same to Accra just to know the state of Ur application, but am sure Ur PPR would come soon by Gods grace...Takia .

Thank you @toyeen for the updates and the prayer.

I have checked Ecas not updated and we haven't lived for 6 months outside.

As advised, will do a mail to Accra.

All the best to u guys that have received ur PPR and have a safe trip to Ghana

God bless this house.

@ OPK2much n Dante0000, congratulations on ur PPRs.

Snrs pls for those familiar wit d new lang point system. Can pls u help me with ds calculation Ielts: Speaking8, (4points) Reading7, (4points) Writing7, (4points) Listening6- (2points) overall 7.0. Total 14points out of 16point
Tnx

Immigration points are rewarded on the basis of the score obtained by the applicant in the language test. For IELTS test, the applicant is required to appear for the general module of the IELETS and have to score the needed band in all the four modules of the IELTS test (Reading Writing, Speaking and Listening).

If the score in the IELTS lies between band 7.0 and 9.0, then 4 points for immigration will be awarded for that module. It is essential to note that the Canadian immigration points are awarded for each individual module not just the overall band and then added up. If score is between 5.0 to 6.9 points, two points will be awarded for Canadian immigration. If IELTS score is less than band 5.0, no immigration points are awarded for that module.

For example, an applicant will get the following points for the IELTS scores

Reading:
7.5 Band = 4 immigration points

Writing:
6.5 Band = 2 immigration points

Speaking:
7.0 Band = 4 immigration points

Listening:
5.5 Band = 2 immigration points

So, in this case, the overall points obtained in IELTS for the immigration application will be 12 out of maximum of 16 points.

Kayb, I got this from my archives, I hope this helps.

Good morning peep! Please I need your takes on this. Myself n family applied vis PNP, got medical request from Accra on the 25-9-2012, did the medical on the 28-9-2012 but we are yet to receive our PPR.

@ toyeen, @ Rivic etc all got there MR at the same time and have gotten their PPR for this Monday.

Am new here and don't know how to go about it.

Please ur suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Hello Eldorado,

Let's be patient, am very sure our PPR will come this week by the special grace of God.
Let me ask you this- Is your wife pregnant while you did the Medical test? Will she deliver latest by February or March? Some people say this may slow things up but not sure but I have the strong believe my PPR is coming this week !

Cheers.

Don't think you should really bank on the Ecas updates o.
in our own case it was showing 'in process' without any medical line even after we had received our PPR and now its been updated to 'decision made' meanwhile we alreday have our visas.

more importantly, lets just be prayerful and expectant for it will come at the appointed time!!! :)

Please i need a reliable and cheap airline. I am planning to land in April 2013 @ toronto. I have a wife, one under 2yr and one under 3yr. I also want to ask if it is possible to change destination if one does not want to land at toronto again. Is it possible to move from one province to another before getting PR card. If one book this weekend against april 24 with return set at july 30, how much is one likely to pay for flight.I have 2million naira is ok for landing.I want to ask if they will us to land with 12500CAD instead of 20500CAD. Landed people what is your experience. PLEASE LANDED SENIORS HELP

@ Rivic congrats once again. go well, return and testify of the goodness of the Lord.
