Come to talk of cheap multi airline ticket. You may want to try but my advise is prepare for worst case scenario. The catch is always somewhere.

There is one with Lufthansa and Condor Flugdienst on LOS-YYC that will cost $3,600 for a family of 5 with the fifth member as an infant. It is real but the risk are there.

So I will prefer we explore the IOM option and if we have a little extra cash to spare let's look for any of the European airline. Somebody in canada should be able to sell the Nigeria route to Air canada.

Am sure they will make cool money on LOS-YYZ route and then connecting all other province from there.

cheers

If one wants to get a little bit artistic about the journey book LOS-DOH-FRA on Qatar Airways and then FRA-YYC on Condor Flugdienst. It might be worthwhile as you will save lots of dollars.

But the risk is there too. The Qatar Leg of it must be perfect in that there must not be any delay.

Gent 2 Are u there? For a family of 5 like I mentioned earlier the whole journey will cost only less than $3,900 one way. Transit time in Doha is an hour and in Frankfurt its about 6-7hrs. Book all flight by yourself online and print your booking and check-in to suit you and your family period.

@ BDX, congrats.

You want to try them out. Its certainly going to be cool on their 767 Boeing FRA-YYC leg. I was told they are very strict on their baggage weight limits. And they share code with LUFT.

@ Beenilly... Thanks for the useful info, I for take unacceptable passport to that place

@CDX... God is a miracle worker. CONGRATS

What happens in Frankfurt? will passengers pick luggages and check in again at the other airline? do both airlines operate out of the same terminal? Will Schengen be required since the qatar airways trip ends at frankfurt?

At Frankfurt, you will have to pick your luggage and check-in with Condor. You do not need Schengen.

Your final destination is Canada and you have your ticket to Canada with you.

I had checked with German Embassy in Lagos and I was reliably informed that I do not need a transit visa because certain countries of the world had that agreement to allow passengers transiting in each others airport if the final destination is confirmed.

check out condor here www.condor.com

EMO, I strongly doubt it if passenger would need to pick baggage and re-check in at Frankfurt. The baggage go straight to Canada from Lagos via Frankfurt.
