The Government of Canada announced on 29 March 2012 a plan to reduce the backlog of Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) applications by returning all applications and government fees submitted prior to 27 February 2008. This will amount to a total of almost 300,000 returned applications, as well as approximately $130 million in refunded government processing fees.

Approximately 160,000 FSW applications, submitted after 28 February 2008, will remain in queue for processing.

To all who may be affected in this forum on this matter. I really wish to say that my heart is with you. If I am in your shoe, I will draw the positives in it. Lets look through all other means QSW, PNP, education, business and fire a new shot with Prayer.

I see this as automatic route to PPR to whom it may concerned.

My heart really goes out to those affected by CIC's decision. Imagine waiting patiently after all these years and being told your application is going to be returned. Really really sad news.
On a positive note, such applicants can look at the other routes and CIC has 'promised' a faster processing time.
BTW, what happens to those who have been invited for PNP, or those who have done their medicals or even those who had documents updates? There is always a way out
