I had written a mail to Accra on my case because it was 8 months since my ecas is showing RBVO and this is the mail I got in return:

Dear Sir,

Please be advised that until a file has been created in our system we are unable to acknowledge receipt of an application.

However, your application should be in queue to be initiated in our system. Once this is done, you will be acknowledged by email and regular mail of your file number.

Thank you for cooperation and for your interest in immigrating to Canada.

Now it is confirmed that Accra normally issue 2nd AOR just like any other VOs. My thinking is, our files have not been tranfered to Accra from CIO.

The reply confirmed this, that they could not have acknowledged what was not tranfered to them ab initio. We really need to pray o. I got 1st AOR in October 2010 and up till now, case file has not been transfered to Accra. How long do we have to wait??? Pa Awoderu? Pa Naija pikin are you there?

They are taking longer and longer to do the initial paper screening, hence they are unable to process and finalize at least 10 cases in a year (going by the footnotes in the processing times statistics).

No wonder CIO gave them querry. Really it's so annoying when New Delhi has announced 15 months for pre-June and here we are no direction in Accra. They could not even post their estimated months! The ONLY VO in the whole world without a timeline! viva africa.

Come to think of it, the number of applicants from the regions served by Accra is a fraction of the New Delhi or London VO applicants.

Are we really part of this world? Why is other parts especially the developed west and Americas do not want us? Could it be that because of our cruel leaders like Gathafi (abi na Quathafi or Gadafi sef?), Jona, Mugabe, Gbagbo! etc who behave and act as if their brains are made of stones? Please my fellow African Brothers/Sisters answer me... :-X :-\ see the way they are been disgraced in Egypt?

When an American singer is going on world tour, check the list of nations they go to, US, Europe, China/Japan/UAE and Aus and go back to US as if Africa is never part of the world continents.

What can we do to reduce these insults? Pas and Mas in da house any idea(s)

i feel your pain & the fustration that accra is making most applicants go through... My personal pain goes to the 2004/2005 applicants that they keep extending their timelines (maybe until the become Grandparents )...

I believe things will turnaround soon... probably, early next year cos the priority & queue jumping process is in place presently & they should round up most of them early next year.

if i were some old applicants, i would shoot another application rather than wait forever...

All we can say for now is - "It is well" !

But more seriously, sometimes I wonder if these our so called leaders are human beings. As far as I am concerned they dine with the Devil himself who emboldens them to do all they do without any iota of remorse. And the solution? .... as Eljo mentioned, it is only God that can deliver us. Just ensure you do the right thing (not by your standard but acceptable standards) as an individual wherever you find your self.

They may all be confused for all we know ???

if i were some old applicants, i would shoot another application rather than wait forever...

I strongly disagree. It is fraudulent style from the part of Canadian Government who promised one thing and shift the goal post as soon as the game started when the other party i.e (applicant) has fufilled his/her own part by paying the exobitant high "refundable" application fee all in the name of "It is their nation!

What if the NOC of the applicant is not among the 29 occupations listed by the Almighty CIC? oh oh!

We all are insisting on doing the right thing, but Canada is not. :-X

For the 2004/05 set, my heart goes to them too but they were never promised 8 months finalisation unlike the Pre June!

Mind you, this writer had earlier applied in 2007 and when I noticed the traffic, I decided to join the "new" 38 occupations since my NOC was among the annoited occupations then...and unfortunately no longer in the most annoited almighty 29 occupations.
