How can a nation's reserve be depleting in a period of high oil price (US$95 as at now!). Instead of saving, we are consuming and not just consuming, consuming our future. We made a budget of 74% recurrent and 26% capital project. Check the number of Ministers, Special Assistants (including our own Comrade Dr. Reuben Abati who is now dining with same money he once written as absord!), Senior Special Assts, Aides on this and that. At the end of 2011 you will hear that some ministries are returning excess (unspent) capital budget funds...yet no ministry will return unspent recurrent expenditure...abi? There and here, you and I will now begin to see no electricity,no road, no school, no food etc after they have refunded unspent(?) funds if it will ever returned!

Naijas learnt act of fraud,foggery and theft from our Government. The system produced them. How do we explain a nation with 46% case of youth unemployment? I have 3 graduates in my house now doing nothing except writing applications. Something must definately give as Prof. Soludo opined.

As we write now, 3 Banks' licences have been withdrawn and the Banks are now nationalised against the backdrop of giving them up till September 30, 2011 to recapitallised. Is that not monumental fraud? But when a small Naija Pikin do such, na to send am to jail like Akingbola....

This is not to say that I am in support of evil vices, NO. I am not in support. But when I sit down to analyse the situation of things in my country Naija, I weep for our generation to come. No wonder Prof. Wole Soyinka (Kongi himsef) once qualified his generation as wasted! Aren't we? Pa Naija Pikin et Pa Awoderu? :-X :-X

Prof. Aliko once said that the Rich cannot sleep because the poor are awake, and the poor cannot sleep because they are hungry. Except something drastic is done to the unemployment generation in Naija, I doubt if this trend will not even increase. The last time Egrace62 told us how some ladies robbed bank in Oshogbo with sorphisticated weapon...Imagine Ladies in Naija...abomination....but it was real. Granades were used to burst open the bank fortified doors! Omo, fear grip me when I read the story. This is the reason why some of us are struggling for MR,PPRF etc to Canada. We do not see any hope again for Naija. Things are going from bad to worst and to worse indeed! No more employment/admission on merit again! :-X

I share your sentiments and I feel your Pain,Prof Adeniyi Oshuntokun once said this about Nigeria, all the other Nations went to God and said how can you bless a country as much as this, you know Gods response...wait till you see the people I will put in it.

By hiding the truth and saying the lies that there are employment opprtunities, good roads, affordable and quality education? The world is a global village. Everybody knows as much as you know about Naija. The more you say it out the better to get helper.

Somalia leaders decided to hide the truth about their drought and now they are suffering it. The much celebrated Debt raising crisis of the USA was discussed and raters have started rating the decision.

It may interest you that my own immediate elder sister died barely a month ago for lack of good health care system. She died during labour, we got to the general hospital they rejected us, that they don't have blood, no bed space etc,.See my people enitokan l'omo. It has become the case of you are surrounded by water but remain permanently thirsty. No one is ready for Egypt, Libya, Syria or even Lebanon style. However, some have decided to leave the country which is a matter of choice anyway. Now... the nauseating bit is a situation where those(Nigerians) that migrate to other countries put themselves in such a very bad light that for the simple but unfortunate reason that you are from the same country, you are seen as the same. That is so not fair which is why I will say it again that they will ROT IN JAIL. Of course there are those doing the country proud as well, the sky will continue to be their limits. For those who made us consider the migration option becos they refuse to give us the basic necessities of life, but rather either knowingly or unknowingly make people suffer in the midst of plenty, I doubt if they will see peace.

First, let me correct you, the analysis was by Pa'Right, and on his Pa'sious behalf, I say thanks for your compliments.
Yes!, I am passionate about fighting corruption in Naija, not just cleaning up EFCC. And yes, I am passionate about giving our dear country a good name. My passion for sure, is not the same as Reuben Abati's, Segun Adeniyi's, etc, I believe in flat condemnation of whatever is bad, there is no room for compromise here, I do not operate in shades of gray.
There is a Naija proverb that says; whatever is not good for eating, you do not cut with your teeth.
