My status went into ''IN PROCESS'' on 24th of june 2011.
But today 30th of june, I got a mail requesting that I should do medicals, send proof of fund, and pay the Right of Permanent Residence fee.
Is this any other person's experience or is it just me?
The link for the approved Doctors' list isn't even going.
I hope I'm not alone in all this.
Pls let me know if anyone else has the same experience.

Spot on seglad,well said.If you have the means get to lagos and you will have this passport less than 5days.Wetin abeg,naija wahala too much for UK.

@Shalom: I concur with Seglad's advise. In abuja you can get it in 24-72 hours. December is too long a time.
If you follow this route your baby's ''kpali'' will be set and your application gets rolling in 7 days.

Congrats dear that was rather fast. Where are u? lagos or Abuja that will help in determining which Doctor you can use there is one in Abuja though if you are anywhere around the North

I've gone through some of the comments and I see a no of landed immigrants already. Congrats people!

Here are my questions:

1. Is it better to use an immigration lawyer or do it myself? How did you guys do it and what was the experience like, especially for recent applicants?

2. I qualify for both the Federal Skilled Worker category as well as the Quebec Immigration category. Can I apply for both (sounds crazy, I know!) to increase my chances, especially since FSW now has only 500 spaces per job category without a job offer?

My brother this is a generic response they sent it to me about two months ago when i sent them an email. I dont know what UCI stands for did you quote your file no or aor no in the mail you sent to them? maybe you should Pm Seglad and ask what UCI stands for but the truth is they are yet to get to your batch once they do you will hear from them.

Her excellency so soon? how time flies!!!! i was thinking we would wait till August and allow the dust of the new list to settle and watch the trend before we meet so we can have much to discuss. I would however be in Edo state that day for a wedding but would sure be with you guys in the spirit.

It wont be a bad idea if we make the meeting quarterly or what do you think? please you can sample members opinion and comment on this during the meeting.

I would miss the food and the drink but most importantly i would miss you guys. Ma has Seglad wife gone back to Canada or is she still around? my warm regards to your household.

NB It wont be a bad idea to bring your hubby to the meeting at least to celebrate the anniversary lets meet the PA. Pa Right child Naija Pikin what do you guys think?

Congrats....Accra is awake!!! So Accra requests for Medicals, RPRF (possibly POF) at the same time. Good to hear somethind beyond RBVO! Good luck for the rest of the journey! Mandie
