Hello guys, from kelo's post. its s obvious the person is not from our own forum as said, but this could be an exmple for us. i asked a question earlier but no response yet. Landed seniors and other experience peeps in the house, kindly assist we 2013 applicants so we are not found wanting, This was the question earlier asked- "Hello house, before we are called up for medicals? would they have done all the verification like work history, account balance and all? or the verification is usually after medicals?

Usually before they call for medical they would have done some verification like work history criminal record. But regarding proof of fund AVO usually request to POF again during the MR. This is my opinion.

Hello Telo,
Dada-Karma has said it all. In as much as your friend's case is outside our cluster, we should always visit the government site www.cic.gc.ca to avail ourselves of recent changes as regards our application. Its a pity that he was denied and i feel sorry for him. Please encourage him to apply again. He might just be lucky this time.

@Shinemaster the guy received MR and was asked to send some documents which he did from his statement (submitted on April 10,2014), but POF was not among the documents requested to be updated. When I personally check CIC website, POF was updated on (Date Modified: 2014-04-03) http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp
From the rejection letter he was supposed to have $CAD 14.720, but had $CAD 13.837 base on 2013 POF requirement

Hi kelo, can you shed more light on the situation? Did the Visa Office ask for an updated POF and he/she submitted an updated POF based on the old required POF? or He/She was just denied without requesting for an updated POF?

This is very sad but I believe all hope is not lost. The case can be re-visited. I strongly advise the fellow not to give up, having gone this far! The case can be argued if it is based on the newly updated POF that he was refused (as you stated). He should get a lawyer asap, I am very positive he will win the case. I know a Canada based Nigerian lawyer who specializes on immigration cases, if your friend is interested, he/she can send me a PM and we will take it up from there.

Today I got E-cas status changed to "Decision made" (after "Medicals received" but without RPRF and PPR). By snail mail I have just received a leeter from Vienna stating their rejection due to non sufficient funds: thjey expected us to have $CAD 14.720 for two?Huh? When and how did this happen??? These are NEW rules, for my understanding they had to process our file on the old rules from last year, when we had to have $CAD 13.837!
What can I do?? this is so wrong''

With all the noise CIC has been making about avoiding unscrupulous agents, I wonder why people are using agents at all.

The instructions are very simple, there is nothing an agent can do that we can not do for our selves. All the succesful applicants I know sorted out their stuff themselves. Please advise your friend to read the instructions, fill the application forms and provide the necessary documents and submit on his own. You don't need an agent to read english and fill forms.
