I have a contrary understanding that Nigerian laws do support dual citizenship. It is very convenient for Nigerian/Americans to be dual citizens and it is more convenient for Nigerian/Canadians most especially if the citizenship is by birth (that is even unquestionable). Well, I support I.J in the sense that Nigerian law does not support dual citizenship.
Nigerian citizens (by birth) remain Nigerian citizens by law unless if u personally and deliberately go to the NIS and file a renunciation of ur Nigerian Nationality of which a certificate of renunciation will be issued and that is rarely done.
I might be wrong, it is just my opinion based on my understanding.
