Good day everyone! It's such a pleasure to be here. I cam across this forum while searching the internet for some help. Since then I have been reading this thread voraciously and digesting all the information put out here. Simply out this forum is wonderful and full of a new breed of Nigerians. I haven't finished reading all the posts but I have already seen that people here are a different breed of Nigerians with a new mindset and care for one another. All I can say is God bless all of you and for whoever started it all, you will never run out of ideas in life. I wish I had seen this forum while processing our immigration file.
I would be needing some help from here. I landed in Canada in April this year with my family and then returned to Nigeria. We are looking for accommodation in Hamilton or Mississuaga Ontario close to any good rated elementary school for the sake of our kids. Our budget is $1200 for a 3 bedroom apartment (inclusive of utilities). Please if any landed senior can help, I would love to establish contact with the person.

Feels so good to be in the midst of lovely people like this.

I will now continue digesting more of the posts here...

Welcome aboard ICAN, it is never too late to be part of this wonderful family, though you are already landed. l am sure our landed seniors will be more than willing to assist in your search. God will favor and prosper you in Canada :D

Congratulations my brother.I wish you God's favour in the remaining process.
This week shall produce many updates to all forumites in Jesus name amen.

Finally came out of hiding after a few months of following this forum and also introducing a few folks to the forum because of the wealth and depth of information available for free here! There is also a genuine desire to see each other succeed which for me is highly commendable. God bless everyone who take time to share their experiences and also every one who provide answers to questions asked.

cheers,

bishop

Thanks Dada-Karma! My timeline is as below:

* applied for FSW in October 2006
* acknowledgement received in January 2007
* rules changed in between and CIC was going to return and cancel my application
* got offer to apply for Ontario PNP in March 2012
* reluctantly applied at the end of April 2012
* received nomination certificate sometime later in 2012 (September or thereabout)
* application as PNP submitted in February 2013
* medical request, RFPF payment request and additional info request received on 25 April 2013
* medical done at Consultant's Practice Ikoyi on 11 May 2013
* PPR received on 05 September 2013
* PR visa received on 19 September 2013
* landing planned for first quarter of 2014

It's been a long journey and like most of us I had despaired and given up at different times, but thankfully I had friends and family that kept urging me on and finally 7 years after my journey started I am technically at the finish line before another phase commences.

cheers,

bishop

I just realised that we all almost have thesame stories :D some of us are on premature vacation because of this PR stuff, but I believe that one day we shall all look back and smile and give thanks to almighty God. But my candid advice to fresh applicants is to continue the good work of populating the world with lovely people, instead of going on premature vacation. This advice is premised on the fact that it is now easy to add newborns to the PR application.

Nice one there Olamide... I'm sure you also took into account our POF? When you keep populating the world and when the 'time' eventually comes, will it be easy for one to raise the cash? Dis one wey persin no know wen AVO go call u so? Abeg make we just dey enjoy the ride as e dey go jooor.
The good Lord will definitely complete what He has started in our lives, and in record time too, AMEN! :)
Let's continue to keep the faith.
