Good day every one, I've been following the thread for a while and I've seen so far that its a very helpful and informative forum. I have some questions and hope to get assistance.
I and my family plan to immigrate to Canada under the FSWP and are about to apply, we have gotten all necessary documentation in compliance with the new immigration rule that came out in July 2013 like IELTS, certificate verification etc. The only challenge is that my skill, food resaerch scientist (as the principbal applicant)is not on the new list of NOC approved occupation but I can still tailor it to fit into 2263 I.e. Inspectors in Public and environmental Health and occupational health and safety but my employer is reluctant in issuing another reference letter to acconodste this. Can I still apply using the other reference letter for the previous occupation? I don't have arranged employment but l have a relative who is a citizen in Canada. Again, which of the immigration streams is a surer one?

1. Please advise on the best and most reliable means of making payment for Right of Permanent Resident Visa Fee.

2. Also, how long does it take on average for Permanent Resident Visa to be issued from the date of medical?

3. I hear Accra Canada Visa Offices will biometric for visa issuance this month. Does this implies that all family members will have to go to Accra for collection of COPR & Permanent Resident Visa when a mail sent that it is ready?

Please assist to clarify.

1. I think the most usually employed means of paying the Right of Permanent Residence Fees as most people have done is to raise a bank draft in Canadian Dollars from Guaranty Trust Bank. It can be done at their Oyin Jolayemi branch on Victoria Island. Very easy if you have a domicilliary account with them.
2. The waiting train is never predictable, if you've followed the forum well, you will realise that the answer to your second query is between 2 weeks to as long as 10 months. Some people have done their medicals since January, and are yet to receive passport request. But on the average, it's usually about 2 to 3 months, but even I cannot quote myself on that

ARIK and AERO are both good. You can book early morning flight and evening return same day. Remember to get Yellow card from the Ports clinic beside the Post Office on ground floor at MMIA Lagos, if you don't have it already. Safe journey

I just got a phone call from the Canadian high commission in accra about 10 minutes ago.... they wanted to confirm if I''ve sent all the additional documents that was requested of me to which I replied that they were sent over 2weeks ago...

She said I should "put an eye on my e-mail from now".

Hoping for the best now.
