Hello My People, can someone advice me on this message that was send to me from the school regarding the the delay in my application;
The Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO) union, who is responsible for processing visa applications, is currently engaged in a labour dispute. Posted processing times on Canadian Embassies' websites do not reflect the delays resulting from this labour issue. As a result, anyone applying for a study permit should anticipate a delay in the processing of their application and the possibility of not being able to receive the needed documents in time for the September 2013 start date.
If you are currently waiting for your previously submitted study permit application to be processed and you do not receive a response from the Embassy by September 4 (which is the first day of classes), please contact your faculty to let them know about the possibility of your late arrival or if you will be deferring your start until January 2014.
If you have just submitted or will be submitting a study permit application using your final admission letter, please note that this letter usually states your admission to the University of Alberta for either fall or winter terms. As such, you will still be able to use it with your application. If you do, you may need to make alternate plans to start in January rather than September.
If you have been admitted to the Faculty of Engineering or into one of the Specialty programs at the University or if you are not sure that the admission letter you have provides you the option of starting in January, please contact your Faculty's academic advisor for follow up on this matter.
You can also contact the International Student Advising team with your questions and concerns by emailing advising @ ualberta.ca.
My Questions;
1. Should i really wait till september 4th before i request for January admission ?
Pls your advice as been very useful & it has given me signs of relief .
I really need quick response
Thanks
