1. As far as you hold a Nigerian passport, you dont need a visa to enter Ghana but you need to get yellow fever vaccination. As for the issue of courier, I really dont have an idea but truth be told, it is better to hit Accra VO yourself and collect the visa rather than go through another round of anxiety waiting for the courier package to arrive

2. No, you dont need to. Visa are usually issued on Monday's but if there is a holiday on Monday in Canada or Ghana, the embassy will not open and want to believe the next day your visa can be picked up.

3. A couple of guys have repeatedly mentioned Assemblies of God Guest House. It takes about 5mins or thereabout walking distance to the embassy.

4. Stamping is done the same day but passport pick-up is usually anytime from between 2-3pm if I can recall the post made by some members that have visited Accra for their visa collection. Flying out is a function of the airline you book with and most people do return same day

Notice – Changes to the Federal Skilled Worker Program
March 1, 2013 – With new criteria for the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) set to take effect in May, many prospective immigrants may already be preparing to apply.

However, future FSWP applicants should be aware that CIC expects to announce three important elements of the FSWP in April that will have an impact on the application process, including:

a cap on the number of applications that will be accepted in the first year;
a new list of priority occupations; and
the organizations that will be designated to conduct educational assessments.
Applicants who prepare their application before this information is announced do so at their own risk. Applications that do not meet the criteria that will be announced in April will not be processed.

On December 19, 2012, Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister Jason Kenney announced significant changes to the FSWP. In addition, the Minister announced that the new FSWP would be opened up for applications on May 4, 2013. A pause on applications, except for those from certain PhD students and those supported by a qualifying job offer, has been in place since July 1, 2012.

Wow I missed the meeting again. I do hope it went well and that the turn out was great. I have not been in Nigeria for a while. By the time the meeting holds in June I would have landed. Hopefully I will join by skype this time around.

I am very glad to announce to all in the house dat urs truly landed in Toronto 6.30pm on Friday 15th march 2013. Wasn't able to make any post until now. It's really cold but very beautiful place.
