Guess I will just go, do the necessary landing procedure and come back. Calgary is my choice. I can imagine the cold (as low as minus twenty at present). Thanks.

Please I have a little challenge, yesterday the cic Ghana sent me a mail asking for my wife’s form though I did not submit them at first since she is not accompanying me.
The requested for her DOB, to fill additional family 1504 form and I should bring our marriage certificate.
My challenge here is they asked for my one year bank statement and in my account as soon as my salary comes in I pull it out and fix in a finance house should I still print the bank statement showing the a balance of about N500k or should I just show them my fixed deposit certificate or liquidate the deposit and fix it in my current account where it should show me a balance of about N3m.
Please I need your help for those who had submitted there POF to CIC and friends who had received visa.
The Ghana embassy is working I get mails from them every Monday on additional documents.
Please kindly reply.

Hello Ind_dan,

Do not panick. With your fixed deposit certificate I bet you are good to fly. Just get the cert. notarised and drop your statement of account as it is and forward them to Accra ASAP!

This was why I said we should throw away our eyes as soon as we send POF to Accra. The only exemption was what you just did invest in a risk free asset.

My challenge here is they asked for my one year bank statement and in my account as soon as my salary comes in I pull it out and fix in a finance house should I still print the bank statement showing the a balance of about N500k Since they asked for your one year bank statement, I would say print it even if it shows N500K however you should also attach evidences that show you normally invest that same salary in a finance house. This could be in the form of disposit tellers and letters of payment. Along with the current account bank statement I will also attach the fixed deposit certificate. Nothing says all your funds must be in your current account. I guess they just want to clarify issues with you POF. The cumulative of the funds in both accounts must be above the minimum required funds for your application bracket. or should I just show them my fixed deposit certificate or liquidate the deposit and fix it in my current account This might cause raised eyebrow. where it should show me a balance of about N3m.

As for the bank statement by next week it should be ready all things go well before the end of next week I shall send it to them.
Cos I have to get my wife’s police report as well.
