Oh what a blow! So sad to read this. Please be comforted and know that our loving father the Almighty God will be there with you all the way. He has promised that He will never leave us nor forsake us till the end.
Since you are the principal, you can still go with the kids and then inform them at the POE about the demise of your hubby. Please take along with you your Certificate of Permanent Residence which was issued at accra (remember you are not to sign it until you get to the POE), your proof of funds and all your certificates. However if the burial arrangements will keep you here for a while and you are unable to enter before the expiry date of the visas, please ensure you get in touch with AVO and return the visas pending when you will be ready to move. The only problem with this is that you may have to repeat the medicals.
I am so touched by this sudden development and pray that God will multiply His grace upon you at this time and also grant you divine wisdom to handle this transition. God be with you.

I feel your pains greatly, God will grant you and your family the fortitude to bear the loss.

The post above by DonBaker has rightly advised you on about all that you need to do and I pray that your landing in Canada won't be stalled for too long, it is good enough that you are the principal applicant. I will advise that you do a lot of research and plan for your landing, in order to decide the appropriate time to do so. Whatever the case, God will surely be your strength and He will guide you on the steps to take per time. God is forever faithful and it is well.
