Hey ! I already submitted my passport application as a walk in at Service Canada .

The line is long only in passport office right? or even in Service Canada?

Yea it is, but I rather stand in line and collect my certificate back right away than hope and pray it doesn’t get lost in the mail

Ok. Yes for sure i do prefer in-person(with/without appointment) rather than relying on the postal services to deliver the original documents since we all dont want to deal with cic again .

Does niagara location officer asks for local unexpired id card?
my alberta officer was insisting today to see valid local id after showing pr card. i had but my wife doesnt have and she has oath on 10th hence not sure if its going to be a problem.

I received the Oath in mid-may from niagra office. However, I have a planned travel in mid-june too and they replied that they won't reschedule for that. Is there any chance you can pickup the certificate similar to recent Oath in the ottawa office. If not, what is the typical time frame to get the certificate?

I have been going through the same thing with them. I have everything completed but Oath is not started. I sent them multiple emails asking them to schedule my oath before July 7 as I’m traveling that date and will be away for almost a month but they don’t even respond back.

You will be asked while you are checking in for the oath of u have travel plans coming up , to which you will obviously say yes and your certificate can be expedited to you. You can walk in to a passport office within two days of your travel date and pay the extra fees and then get the passport done there .

Certificate + Current Passport which is what i saw people using via land trip even though we cant board any bus/plane. Also called the border to confirm. You can confirm with border.
You cant use pr card.
US passport cannot have special privilege unless you prove to be citizen which is the certificate along with any passport.

US Citizens need not carry any other proof even if they are Canadians. A US passport should suffice and CBSA can always look up your Canadian citizenship status.

I received GCMS note today and it stated that primary office CPC Sydney, secondary office Niagara Falls IRCC. Does it mean my file will be processed in NF? I'm from Ottawa.

London office told my family member that Niagara Falls will send oath invitation. Scarborough sent it. They don't even know what they are doing themselves.
