This is not accurate.

The requirement is not 3 years as permanent resident, but rather includes any other forms as temporary resident such as TFW or Work Permit etc -

In order to apply for Nexus you have to have PR but the time spent in Canada as TFW / Work Permit counts -

Including myself many many others have received Nexus Basis recent PR award but majority of time spent in Canada basis Work Permit.
Let me get this straight, I've lived in the US for 3.5 years on F1 Visa. Recently I received my canadian PR. Does that make me eligible for NEXUS?

I have a similar question, I lived in the US for 2 years on a J1 visa and was a worker in Canada for 2.5 years making 4.5 years total and just got my PR in Canada, an I eligible?

Came to Canada on Student visa Jan 2013...i got my PR DEC 2015.... applied for Nexus.. Feb 2016.. got my card March 2016... ( i do not think there is a strict 3 year PR residency requirement)...its case to case basis....

Now , my wife came to Canada Dec 2018... got PR Sept 2019... applied for Nexus Oct 2019... lets see what she gets!!!!

Hello, just wanted to see if folks are able to comment on the 3 years at PR vs 3 years in visa in US or Canada.

My case - I've lived in the US on H1B from Aug 2014 to Aug 2019. Then moved to Canada on PR. Actual PR was received on Dec 2017.
Years in US/Canada - 6 years. Years as PR - 1 year

My wife's case - She moved to US on H4 in Jun 2016 to Feb 2018. Moved to Canada on PR. Actual PR was received on Dec 2017.
Years in US/Canada - 4 years. Years as PR - 2.5 years

Do you think we are both eligible for Nexus card?

Hello... Please let me know what to enter for Permanent Resident Card Number/A Number?
I have my Canadian PR. It has an ID number (10 digits) on the front and number on the back (Two letters + 7 digits). I am a little confused with both and the internet search is not giving a proper answer. I am applying using https://ttp.cbp.dhs.gov .

Regards,
Tony

Yes are you eligible, just 3 years residency in either/both side of the borders. It doesnt need to be on one side for full 3 years.

Looks like they see if they actually moved there. My friend was in vacation for few weeks but his residence was not changed(the address was not changed) hence he was issued the nexus. So make sure you dont give foreign address during the last 3 years for the vacation period.

she was conditionally approved... then the application was cancelled due to 3 year rule.. its BS in my opinion.. but it is what it is...our drive cross border for interview was a waste...
Seems your wife is not resident for 3 years hence might have rejected. Did they say it was for 3 years rule? Do they give reason too?
They also reject for people who cant prove that there is purpose to cross the border frequently. This may be the case too.
