Next steps once visa letter received from NY office ??

Hi all,

I applied online for visitor's visa to canada and received a message from the NY office that a decision has been made and i need to give them my passport

my question is -

1) do I have to mail my passport to them or do I have to go there in person?

2) How wil they return the passport back to me? On the website it says that they will only mail back the passport and other documents. But nowhere on the CIC site do they say what sort of envelope do I have to provide them? (USPS, or fedex or UPS). I am also not sure how to provide them pre-paid envelopes without knowing what date they will be shipping it back to me, the only option in Paypal to print shipping label is after you provide a date

what I read from this Forum is you can send your PP using USPS including one return envelope with a tracking number. Hope this helps. thanks

thanks, do you know though how long does it take them to stamp the visa and send the passport back?

It might take upto three weeks, unless you have a plan and booked ticket,I would suggest you write a letter and expain and send it along with the PP.
