Next Express Entry Draw will be going down to 350 points. Is that true???

Hi, everyone,

I heard from some people saying that the next draw for express entry is going down to 350 points. Is that going to happen???
Could anyone give me any ideas??? :'( Please!!!

Seriously. Just wishful thinking by many members here. McCallum is too busy on other things to make any material changes .

Let's take into account:

FSW 53,500
CEC 20,000
PNP 45,000/3 = 15,000 (Let's assume that 1/3 is for express entry)

TOTAL PEOPLE = 88,500

Counting on 1.4 dependents for each principal applicant:

TOTAL EXPECTED INVITATIONS FOR EXPRESS ENTRY ROUGHLY 36,000 / YEAR

We can expect a maximum of 3,000 ITAs each month when program is running at full capacity. (Is it already running at full capacity? I guess yes.)

I am looking forward to seeing how many PR visas they will issue this year for EE on next report.

By July there were more than 8700 people with between 440 and 449 points. 4 months later there are probably 1000 people with each score between 440-449. Unless they up draw sizes to 2000 or 3000 they will not be able to dip below 450. Remember that several hundred people with 450 or more points are added every month.
Realistically speaking it will take a long time to drop.

This is not a judgement of a persons skills or personal worth, everybody has a great deal to offer Canada-they are below replacement population growth. It's just a numbers game. Perhaps once the backlog clears and the Cec applicants who lost out because of the cap in 2014 are dealt with the draws might get a lot bigger. Good luck, let's hope chic work fast to clear the way to increase the draw sizes.

No - of course it's not true. It's actually impossible. It probably won't even drop below 450.

Well definitely the scores would drop down from the next draw. not as fast as you said but u might see a drop and by December it might be 450 again. 2016 gives hopes for those between 420 and 450.

May I ask where you got these numbers? I have seen the statistics for EE applicants between 300-350, 350-400, 400-450, etc, but not specifically for 440-449. I have been wondering what the approximate number of people is in this number frame.

Never say never. But thats highly unlikely due to the current trend. Whoever said this must the most optimistic person in the whole wide world. I would love to be disproved as this will make some many people smile. Keep the hopes high but be realistic. This is a competetive race and best chance is to get your scores rolling.

Exactly. This does not say how many people are waiting with scores between 440-449 as you said, only the larger statistics in fifty point increments. But perhaps CIC will release these details in an end of year report. I'm dying to know how many there are above 440 points to have some kind of idea what our chances are!
