My agent told me same thing. She said there arent enough international students to replace the guys who got 600 points. She said probably in future draws scored will drop IF( and thats a big if) ircc keeps steady flow of ita(2k). And she mathematically explained her point. 71k requirement(cec+fsw) for 2017, 4kita/month=48k. They need more than that. So maybe all hope is not lost.

Dude, you can call, they have a number... I've spoken to them several times!! http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/call.asp

I don't think anyone is arguing that you can call them...but anything said wth "An agent said.." is circumstantial. And as far as I'm concerned should be taken with about as much worth as a grain of salt.

You're forgetting the fact that 1000+ LMIAs are issued every month. Thousands of new students don't graduate every month.

Students do come in waves, but many students (like me) also wait for min 1 year of work-ex to apply under CEC, so there is a mix. LMIA probably sees a consistent amount of applications each cycle?

I know you can, I chased them a lot when i was mistakenly rejected for a work permit. But they just can't give any information like this. They always say "We dont know anything - we will pass it on to CPC Ottawa". And as another poster said, its all a lot of anecdotal hearsay. Reality is no one knows - maybe only some lawyers who have an inside track on this

ah, ok, I read it as you thought there was no way to call them :)

(FYI I kind of want to get a job there, learn as much as I can and just tell people who call. I'll get fired, but hopefully have some fun before then :D)

Customer service is the worst. It was my first job and you feel depressed. Eventually you build a thick skin after hearing all kinds of shit and abuse daily, but I couldn't take it

I agree. Got punched once by an old Chinese lady. "Lady! Lady! HOW MUCH?!"
