Is there any lawyer or agency that we can pay them to give their address so that the PR cards can be mailed to if I cant stay in Canada until the cards are sent???????

There r many many orgs/ppl who'd be happy to do that - for a fee.
And all 'short-stay accoms' do that.

Thanks Qorax, would Safe Home Stay in Toronto do this for a fee as well?
I wonder how much that would be.

I saw in your other posting recommending to stay there. I visited the website and it seems like a very reasonable place to stay for short term.

Hey Qorax; you said earlier that many orgs/ppl would be happy to do that, can you please give me some details and info about them, or even the names of short term accom. Thanks :)

Pls check the Housing Forum -- and fetch any of the "short-stay" packages. They'd help u with that.

Thanks Qorax for your prompt reply, I definetly will do that.

Hello Sihs,

I had tried all these options before I did my landing. I had enquired this with someone who has a law firm. Initially they said that they would do it for a fee of USD 250, which I was prepared to pay. Later they said that since theirs is an official address and not a personal one, CIC might raise objections. I was told by them that using their address would not ensure a hassle-free landing, so it is preferable to provide them a personal address, which is what I finally did as I did not want to take even the smallest of risks. I found another friend who proved to be far better than the first person who turned out to be a crook.

Hi rhetorisch;
Thanks a lot for the information, the thing is I don't know anyone who has settled down in Canada yet, sO I don't know which address to give them, so I'll try looking up those short term house packages.

When I landed - I provided the "Office Address" of my associates - a fairly large org... but no one bothered. The BSO is happy with any address - as long as it has your name on the 1st line - & it's not a PO Box.
