I don't have enough information on mobile network in Canada. Just to add more to you information, I am pasting a post from 'qorax'.

1. Cellphone: It's always advisable to go with a 'non-contract' provider. That said, as a newcomer we need to also find the cheapest, in that case we have only 2 choices: WINDmobile or Mobilicity. Check their sites.

2. Homephone & Internet: As with cellphones, internet too is a pricey proposition here. Check the link below, that is the best option, as it gives u an International calling homephone & Hi-Speed Internet - both together @ the "internet only price" of Rogers/Bell.

Don't go for wind mobile or mobilicity. the network sucks. I used to live in downtown toronto at yonge and sheppard and even there i had a tough time getting access to phone calls. Chatr is the best. You guys go for that.

and as per internet primus or cogeco is a good option. Rogers and bell over charge. But rogers is a good deal if you are going for a bundle (includes home phone, internet and cable). But if its only internet primus or cogeco is advisable..

I have been living in toronto and windsor for the last 3 years on a work permit. Let me know if you guys need any more help.
