Newborn child of Canadian mother living outside Canada

Hi friends,
Does the newly born son of a Canadian mother, who has been naturalized citizen and living outside Canada for last one year, get the citizenship of Canada? What will be the status of newborn child? Will he have to apply for PR or citizenship? Your knowledge on this issue may be highly appreciated.

Since the mother is a naturalized Canadian, the son is Canadian by descent. All you have to do is submit an application for Certificate of Canadian Citizenship.

Yes you can. You submit the application to the Canadian Embassy.
