ok...so our situation- I am a Canadian citizen currently living in Northern Ireland. My mother was born in Canada and that is the reason why I have citizenship. I have sponsored my husband and we are in the process of applying for permanent residency. Since our application was sent to the embassy last year we now have a newborn. My husbands medical expired as we wanted to stay in Northern
Ireland until our baby was born. My husband has now got another medical and we are keen to get out to Canada before this one expires also. My question is...what do we need to do in order to get our newborn permanent residency also? Any help would be most welcomed. It seems that this application process has been going on forever!!!

You have to add the child to your husband's application. Since the application is in process already, you MUST notify the embassy that the child has been born and they will send you the paperwork to add the baby to the application to be sponsored also. If you don't do this, the child will be exempted from eligibility in the family class and will never be able to be sponsored, so it's very important.
