Canada embassy in my country gave me false information, that I can apply for my new baby as a temporary resident and they will issue the visa within 10 days , and then i can sponser her in canada as a family member.
This was my real confusion after couple days the embassy phoned me to till " sorry we regret to issue your daughter a visa, because you already have file in WARSAW VO, So you should continue with them".
I was angry and dissapointed, because they have no idea what I feel.and this arrangment to apply through them was not in that moment. in the mean while they denied that this information was from the officer " she said , Oh we didnt inform u that ". maybe I was dreaming...
if I know that this procedure take this long time, I maybe landed before new baby come.
however, I now very confused and will not belive any thing untill I have my visas.

 :D ;)

@mashtob, sorry to hear that. What they told you only works that way if you and your wife are already PRs(i.e. landed) and then she had the baby outside Canada. She will then apply for a visitor visa for the baby and sponsor the child inside Canada.

It seems they did not tell you that if the baby is born before you land, you must add her first before proceeding. I understand your frustration, just try to not let it affect your other plans.

You know what my freind, I think there is a lake of communication and they didnt hear very well. after all and regard my daughter temporary application refund they said we didn't even know how you will be refunded, and we only do is send your case to the officer ( when , how, how much,...etc) ?? Uhh..

Any way, I m not prejudiced on them but i'm really upset.

Physician advice against traveling

Seniors,

I am a landed immigrant and new to this forum. I am in a very unique and rear situation.

I landed in the month of March 2013 to become permanent immigrant. At that time my wife was busy in her medical training and about two months pregnant. It was planned that she would join me, taking maternity leave, before couple of months of delivery, which is in Sep 2013. Her PR VISA is valid till december2013. Now her pregnancy has become a bit complicated and as of now, gynecologist is against traveling such a long journey ( Pak to Canada). Hopefully it is prayed to Allah that her condition will be able to allow her to take that long journey, if not then she alternatively plans delivery in Pakistan, leaving baby behind ,complete her landing and return back to baby and her medical training which will be completed in 2014.

Please advise if the above plane is feasible if she cannot land before birth then I will sponser baby
And if required grandparents will take care of baby for that period about two years. Mother will visit off and on too.
Regards

I think I am in somewhat similar situation as here.

I have received FSW 2014 Visa valid till 11 Mar 2016.

Recently, we got to know that my wife is 8 weeks pregnant & is due on May 15, 2016. There has been some complications which has occured in her first trimester. The doctors have
advised us to not leave the country(Current Residence) during the pregnancy period. In that case, we can only land in Canada post successful delivery of our 2nd child.

I have no other choice but to request CIC to extend our Visa by 6-9 months. Will CIC understand my situation & extend my Visa.

Can you kindly advice as to what options/process I have on Request for Visa extention.

There is no process for requesting extensions since CIC doesn't grant extensions to PR visas.

You can certainly send a letter to your visa office asking for an extension - but it's likely this request will be refused.

Thanks scylla. But, in that case, how did folks in this thread like Senorita, acelync, etc got Visa re-issued.
In that case, on a genuine reason, do they cancel the Visa & again re-issue new Visas by doing/not doing Medicals again.
For my case, if I go by what has happened to others in this thread, (if they approve), will they ask me do my medicals again-> then request PPR-> Cancel existing Visas-> Then reissue new set of Visas.

In summary, are you saying that Visas cannot be extended, but can be cancelled & re-issued on genuine reason(if approved).
