I am newly registered to this site and was wondering if anyone could help me with a few questions
1. I got married to my husband in 2010 and is just now staring the application process, due to finacal and problems and family issues we were not able to do it untill now.
willl this cause problems since i waited till over a year to apply?
2.he has a daughter and we want to apply for her as well, will it to be easier to apply for him first or 2 both sponsorships at the sametime?

anyone who could help me i would greatly apperciate it, i am so confused and frustrated with this whole process all this paperwork is driving me batty
but i guess anything worthwhile having takes hard work and detemination.

it is not bad at all if u are starting the work now it acually looks good that it does not look like u are just doin it for papers ................and if u have the money to do it now do every one same time its cheaper its less stress it wont make or break ur application but u dont have to now u just cold to make sure she is in the application .....

i am filing for my husband and his daughter also but she is not comin same time we want to settle in first then start her paper work in the future but if i new every thing was settle money wise we would have done her same time

thanks alot I guess its just jitters
we have been both been so paranoid from some horror stories we heard from other poeple.
we have filled out paper work for both of them and had both there medicals done waiting on the arrival of his background check via express mail.
I am hoping to get it this week so i can send everything off on friday

Hey everyone..@ delos well I married my husband in 2010 too, actually my 2 yr anniversary is coming up on Valentine day but we just filed in November and today I received a letter saying I am approved as sponsor and our file gone to kgn, so...so far so good yea

Good morning family.

I have landed in Canada!!!

We had a very smooth flight in yesterday for the most part, we actually left and landed ahead of schedule. I had no problems at all, the immigration guy was extremely nice. Hubby was unable to come and get me since he was at work and sent his aunt and cousin to pick up. The whole process was good and now my new life begins with my husband, i am so excited!!!.

I just want to thank all of you for being there through my good and bad times, i know without you guys i would be way more paranoid than i was. Thanks a million!!!

have a ?tion ??? ....i hear that e-cas is unreliable witch sucks but it also puts my mind a lil at ease for the delay that i feel i am experiencing..but any ways ...do u still get e-mails about ur application status if e-cas does not show ur updates or do u have to call in to immagration to find out ur status...cuz i got my letter from cic about my application bein sent abroad for further prossesing and i have not heard or seen any thing via e-mail or e-cas witch was nov,10,11 ???

Oh boy! Well being as I am even further down the line than you, I can't give you too much idea, I myself, all my ecas says is app recieved. But I did hear that calling cic too much or too soon is not good. I would wait, KGN is notorious for not sending email correspondance or making much updates in the mean time..I would wait until the end of march or april, to further investigate, because I think that 6 months (being that your file was sent to kgn in november) is a fair enough time. But that in my opinion. I am a newbie at this whole thing.

Does anyone have any insight about Dependant children?

Application was received for both boys in July all papers submitted and medicals done. Have not received any updates since. Any guesses?
