Evening Everyone!!

So my life has been turned a little upside down these last few days but I think today I have it all figured out. Long story short, the closing on my house was pushed back 1 day which because of the long weekend, becomes 4 days for me. The problem with that is, I gave notice on the house we are currently living in and am supposed to be out of by July 1st so we had no where to go as well as no where to store all of our stuff. I had movers booked and all that jazz so I have had a lot to figure out today. I am still working on trying to get everything changed.

And...my husband has not got his passport yet. The problem with that is ... they told him to include receipt of the Return shipment in his package and he did so... and HE DID NOT KEEP A RECEIPT FOR HIMSELF OR NOTE THE TRACKING NUMBER!! So he is going into DHL tomorrow to see if he can get the tracking number or at least find out if there has been any movement to track...

Anyways... just had to check in on the fam! Now i'm off to take my son to soccer so have a great evening everyone!! :-*

Oh... lonely_wife, how was hubby's first day of work?

Lil Maya hope your stuff gets sorted out both with the husbands and the tracking number/receipt issues and with your housing issues. What was your total waiting time for this passport request? If I counted right it was like eight months???

SmoothiesQueen: Thanks girl. Yeah, our application was received November 1st, 2010 in Mississauga, and we had a passport request June 20th, 2011, so just under 8 months. From when our application arrived in Kingston (December 14th, 2010), we had about 6 dead silent months with no AOR.. no nothing.. but once things started happening.. it went very quick.

LILMAYA- i feel so bad for you but dont worry you can get through it, afterall this should be easy breezy after having to endure 8 mths of immigration HELL

lilmaya-Im sure you've probably figured it all out already but have you heard of POD moving/storage. Its movers and storage in one which makes sense when there is a short delay. I know you hired movers already so im not sure if you can do a last minute swtich like that. Hope you get it all sorted out! Im in whitby if you need somewhere to stay

Girl, I hope you were able to find a solution for your move and dhl... thanks for asking about hubby.... he had a great day at work... my friend was surprised on how much of a hard worker he was and how quick he learns... So I guess when I had told him that before he gave him the job he sees I wasn't kidding lol hahahaha... Hubby hands were a bit sore this morning but he was just happy that yesterday he made more money than what he use to make in 2 weeks in Jamaica...

Good Morning All,

Thank you for all the support! :-* We are no longer homeless for the weekend and movers are booked for Tuesday morning. My husband's flight is scheduled to arrive on Thursday, so if all goes as planned, (when does it ever?!) he has been advised that there will be a lot of unpacking to do. Moving tomorrow morning would have given me the entire long weekend to get everything organized but now I have to work during the days and soccer in the nights.. i can only do so much so he can safely expect complete chaos

lonely_wife : I'm glad you guys were able to enjoy a little R&R before hubby got into the work thing, but what a wonderful opportunity for him ... well for you both! When do you head back to work?

LILMAYA-Thats good to hear that it all worked out for u, dont worry hubby soon come and he can help with all the unpacking sorting and all the stuff we all hate dealing with after moving...

I cant wait for the day when I get to tell u guys that my babys on his way back...Dear Lord please grant me patience to get through these rough times of life.
Anyways hope every1 has a great Canada weekend, go out enjoy yourselves we all deserve it, and lets hope maybe KGN will get to work today...
