Recieve my CAIPS notes finally and it was a lot more informative than I imagined it would be.

Its broken down into categories with codes which are explained in a decoding doc on KG forum. It also has the io officer # assigned to our case. so if anyone else is wondering if we share the same io it can be known!

One thing that was useful was that an email was sent to "PSPAN" in January for medicals. My girl lilmaya or shall we call her "sherlock" did some research and this is Trinidad. It seems as though our app came to hault at this point and because Trinidad has not fulfilled the request, our meds have expired. A friend of mine recently had the same issue where she had to redo meds and 3 months later KG still didn't recieve. I do have the contact info for Trinidad and will be contacting them tomorrow first thing. I will also send them an email. It unfortunate because even if i am able to get in touch with trinidad it has now expired but i want to know what the heck happend and why haven't they obliged KG request.

wondering if the delay with some of our apps have to do with meds and Trinidad holding up some of our files. I wonder if hen ecas says meds recieved that it means recievd from Trinidad and if it doesnt say that then they are waiting.

Does anyone know when this whole Trindad thing come into affect. we did ours in march 2010.

Well if anyone is looking for medicals to be done...the most amazing doctor is a lady in Kingston...I would have to go back and look at the list to remember her name. She was incredible and even told us all our results even though shes not really supposed to. She said that Trinidad is quite slow...and it takes forever to get there and there is quite a few people that have to redo medicals because of that. I totally forgot about her telling us that until now. So not all the delays are Kingstons fault. It doesn't go directly to Trinidad either...it makes a few stops to switch transport...all which slow down the process!!

According to the doctor we saw...yes!! Its apparently they have the facility to process all the results in the manner in which immigration requires!! But I was also told by this doctor they process the results for more than just Jamaica...probably most the other islands as they have the facility. So I imagine they have a TON TON TON of medicals to process so the slow wait time may not be entirely their fault!

Hmm smoothies- thats good to know. You should post the docs info to Forum

Kediesha-yes i believe they all get sent there now. When this started I dont know? But Im assuming before March of last year since KG is requesting our meds from them. If they havent recieved since March then Im sure its lost! This is making no sense to me at all that Trinidad would take over a year to get the meds to KG or 5 months from KG requests. KG was probablt trying to process our app before expiry and waiting on the darn meds from bloody Trinidad!

Hmmm I'm not seeing her on the list anymore as her name is Faye..I think its like Faye Whiteburn or something like that...but shes at the Oxford Hope Medical centre in Kingston. Thats really wierd because we only had ours done a couple months ago. I know she has grandkids in Florida and she was telling my daughter she was going to visit them soon...so maybe shes taking a leave of absence. She is one of three or four doctors at the same location. I've heard all of them are really good. I highly recomend sending them to the Oxford Hope Medical centre. They have the highest amount of medicals done there! I did hear...and please don't take my word for sure on this...that they get sent out faster if they are done there to because otherwise the meds have to get sent to Kingston from other locations on the island, and then mailed out from there again. And you can get your blood tests and X-ray done right nearby to...its very handy!! They were extrordinarily quick. My husband went into the doctors...we were out in a jiffy...went in to the med centre that does the x ray and bloodwork and he was done both in like a flash. Record time for anything I've ever done in Jamaica!

Sounds like it is the medical that is the problem and once the medical is redone (no thanks to Trinidad), hubby will be on his way home. In July you and hubby can come home together! :-*

Man those notes are just too much man. Just looking at them must be so frustrating. I hope you get some action soon my dear.

Ripley i think the link for how to apply is the forum. Ill check and repost

lilmaya- i am relieved. I feel like i finally have answers. Im on it! I feel like a lawyer or something. It like a fulltime job!

Jahlove and Ripley- that decoding doc is not my CAIPS notes. CAIPS is actually not that complicated. But there are numbers beside some of the headings so the decoding document helps to inform you as to what those numbers actually mean. i actually just copied and paste that doc from another forum.

Prayer for today...

God our Father, the qualities we see lived out so well in some people are a reflection of your own goodness, and we know that we have much to learn from other people
who reflect your image and likeness Gen 126 in different ways.

Inspire us to respect others fully as our equals, seeing and loving in them what you see and love in them.

Amen
