Here's to hoping that we continue to hear some good news today even though yesterday was slow for this forum.

Lord, help us to live in Your joy and peace. Give us strength and understanding to resist anxiety, anger, envy, depression, bitterness, hopelessness, loneliness, fear and guilt. Rescue us when our spirits are overwhelmed within us; our heart within us are distressed, we refuse to let our life be brought down by negative emotions such as these.

When we are tempted to give in to them, show us Your Truth. You have said in Your Word that by our patience we can possess our souls. Give us patience so we can do that. Help us to keep our ‘heart with all diligence,” for we know that “out of it spring the issues of life.

The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit. Amen

Its really a tough call Ebonyshine... I understand you want to redo the medical and I'd prob feel the same cause atleast that would shave some time off just incase they do ask for a redo but then again, a part of me says wait. I really hope and pray you hear something this week .

Morning Newbies, I hope everyone is doing well.

Ebonyshine: Girl I dont believe that Kim at the MP's office keeps her word about anything. It's a good thing that you went there in person because if you did not she would not have taken the time to call the CIC office in Mississauga. I suggest that you stay on her to write the letter/email to KGN and it would not hurt for you to include a letter from yourself. I know this is very stressful and you must be extremly fraustrated but just know seh it must come to and end and you are closer to the ned than the beginining. As far as the meds and the police check not sure what you should do about this but I would wait for the request. I mean if you decided to so them there is no way that they would expire again before you file is completed but I have seen a case where the wait was not long after a re-do requested.

Trust me I believe that the IO working on your file is just as incompetent as the one who worked on mine. I know its hard but just hang in there and I think within weeks you will see some kind of serious movements with your file!

Newbies!!!! When I went home yesterday I went home to a cooked meal!!!! Curry Chicken...lawd it was so nice not having to go home and eat a sandwich for dinner!!!! and then hubby cleaned the car for me with the reggae music blasting in the evening air.....it was so nice!!!!

ebonyshine : Tough call my girl. I feel like there is NO WAY that a new medical could expire prior to your file getting completed. Since the medical has to go to Trinidad first and then to Kingston, I really don't know what the worse case scenario could be if you did go ahead and do it. I know you had said before your husband wanted to wait for the request. Is he still feeling that way? I think that having the MP write the letter right now is a great first step. I have a feeling that file is just sitting on someones desk. I have a co-worker here who is sponsoring her husband from Ghana. They were denied and appealed and the decision was overturned. She was advised the file would go to Ottawa and then Ghana. She waited for 6 weeks and heard nothing so she decided to call and find out the status and the file was still sitting in the same place they left it after her interview!!! She spoke to someone who said they'd send it that same day and now her ECAS status has changed so she knows it actually reached Ottawa. If she hadn't called it would still be on the desk!! No one wants to give you the wrong advice but i think if it were me, i'd get the MP to send the letter/email TODAY..get the ball rolling. I'd wait a few days for a response and then i'd get started on the medical re-do. I pray that none of this is necessary and you get a call today!!

proper : He's doing much better although he's started to become very confident again which makes me nervous. He's been certain that June is our month. He was doing some wash this morning and said it doesn't make sense to put stuff away, he's just gonna start packing. LOL. His spirits are good though still.. he knows we are closer to the end than to the begining.

That'd good, I'm glad he's feeling better. It's funny too cause just last week i showed my wife a suitcase with some shirts packed in it and some of my shoes already in bags and she laughed me to scorn lol, said '' you're something else''. Might seem like we're counting our eggs before they hatch but we're just anxious to be there.
