dunno how to do that UPDATE thing but I'm over the moon happy today!!

Got a email in my inbox this morning from Canadian Immigration stating my file is now in Kingston, and I was approved to Sponser my husband and child. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! I talked to immigration this morning about my file...becasue I'm trying to figure out why they say I havn't paid the permanent residence fee when I paid EVERYTHING up front at one time....and my file was looked at and sent to Kingston in barely over twenty days!!! I am soooo excited!!!

LOL thanks...I'm in shock. Apparently all that time I put into making my file super organized and easy to look through paid off...or maybe it was just luck.

But hopefully this is a good oman...and not a little break because the rest is going to be a nightmare LOL!! I'm just so excited that its in Kingston...and now I can join the ranks of people waiting for a Decision made, versus an approval to sponser.

So I guess I can start counting the months from May 24th!

And lil maya I could be wrong on the twenty some days. The lady this morning told me my file was look at a while ago and sent off, despite me recieving the update email today. So I'm not sure what date to count it at now. CharlieD has me at 33 days because thats how long it took to recieve the update email. So I guess we can go with that lol!!

He is waiting by the phone but we trying to be patient cuz some others got in process update and didn't get call for a month. I can't believe how exciting it was to get that update though. Still happy

Ok sooo if I need to contact immigration with anything..its the client number I identify myself with right? Does this same number apply in kingston or for ordering CAIPS eventually? Or checkin ECAS when I eventually get that?

And does anyone know how long it takes Kingston to take a first look at your file?

wow Smoothies....u filled up with lots of questions lol. be patient. KGN moves at their own pace. our application was received in KGN Nov 8/2010 and this is the first movement we see. some people get the AOR acknowledging receipt but not everyone. seems that the officers are not consistent and each has their own way to manage their files. You should be able to access the file through your receipt number under your name. You can see hubby's but you may not see progress for a while, however, once hubby gets a file # you can access through that as well. Keep in mind that the information will be the same except under his name he will only be able to see his file. You can see both under your name.
